The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

I follow the same Seo Strategy no matter what the site is - the only difference is the number of times PR / Web 2 Updates / Articles / PDF's that go out.

I diversify everything as much as possible - but I never sit there and say well above 30% is bad etc - I change it up but I would never go above 50% for anything.

As far as ready made Amazon Sites go - those won't last - you will get some initial sales then your site will disappear... Google snaps down so fast on these things -- you gotta rise above the pack.

Authority Sites - well like I have said - when I look at what I compete in - they just aren't seen on Page 1 so they are totally different types of Sites to own/monetize... people have different goals so who is too say what is better to own in the long run.

My ability is to be a problem solver - I test things and figure out what works and what doesn't based on what I have to work with and my knowledge ---> what is going to work best for you maybe different for you than me -- > because our knowledge/tools/time are different .... so this is part of your own "secret sauce"

cheers

I hope you get my meaning from my last post ..

Who I am to say - this is the perfect Seo Strategy and if you don't do exactly as I say you will Fail.

That's just not the case - Sites are Different / Content is not the Same / Site Structure / Templates / User Experience / Images / Sliders -- > then how you do Seo ... all determine how Google views your site.

Like I tried to say above - I follow all the "generally accepted" guidelines that you see all over BHW - but that doesn't mean that is perfect strategy .... however using it I get solid rankings.

If your looking for some Likes etc -- then grab Kojaks free AMF Bot --> its working again at the moment

Keyword Tool - I saw someone had provided a cracked one in the download section - not sure how long it would work for -- but maybe a place for people to start with limited budgets.

Cheers

(Note Kojak now only lets you solve 10 Captchas free on AMF and charges $14 for more than that - per day restriction)

this is great tutorial thread! as I am working on a few my sites and turn them to amazon associate stores. My question is if u use any plugin to automatically pull products from amazon? if u use, do u use it on every of ur site? Where u put products reviews? totally on different page? or just integrate into each product page u pull from amazon? and also, I hope u can suggest me some good theme and plugins to build up such kinds of store. I am good at wp ecommerce, but never done amazon affiliate store. so hope anyone could share some experience here. BTW, how many reviews articles u usually have on each of ur sites? Thanks so much in advance! hope to receive the same success as urs! Cheers

I do not intend to hijack Danny's tread, no way. Danny is the best! Just for information I would like to share this info. The guy Spencer Haws (LongTail Pro creator) recently made Amazon site case study. He discovered buyer KW, developed mini site and in a two months of work he crawled to the 1st place of G. You can find his step by step journey here (more than 10 posts of almost pure content)

there's no problem posting anything in the thread - that you think others may find helpful as well ... the only thing we don't want is -> BST Providers coming in Promoting their Services.

we want to stick to proven facts / methods / ideas and strategies.

However if you have used a service and found it helpful or you think there is a better product than anything mentioned in this thread -- then feel free to post it as well.

Just curiouse about the youtube approach.
You mentioned you had purchased videos from WF. Then the youtube traffic is directed to you review site? Or you're using other types of site to monetize the traffic?
Thanks in advance.

The article was an interesting read but it kind of outlines most of the stuff Danny already shared by now. Those who read the previous topic and this one from scratch to scratch but still doubt the facts, can use the article as another proof that things do work if you put some effort into it.

I don't know why anyone would doubt what Danny is saying, but hey you can't fight all those non-belivers out there. His tips and tricks for Amazon are usually something that others pay for in this weird IM world, so the least one can do is just say thanks. Spencer has his aff links sprinkled trough the post but that's still valuable information there. :)

Cheers!

YouTube - which I don't use very much

BUT :

Buy Video - Watermark with Review Site URL - Clickable Link In Description to Review Site.

Thats It -- > Collect Commissions if all goes well.

Don't even bother with any product below $100.

Cheers

Yeah exactly -- all I want to happen is people to take some action // learn a few things and collect a monthly check from Amazon.

Sure I know its not the easiest or the BH Way many people like to earn money -- but this income comes reliably every month..... so if thats what you want then read the threads / take some notes and have a go .. worst case your going to learn alot.... cheers

Sold a couple of nice Patio Heaters $250 each .... as long as you have some diversity in your sites - the $$ will add up nicely each day.

I have a site with 8-9 articles all with no follow amazon links and good length articles. I setup my "All In One SEO" plugin to add keywords to each article (about 4-5 keywords) and created some social media backlinks.

I get anywhere from 0-3 clicks a day and have made two two sales this month.

Any tips from anyone on what I should do next? I'm thinking either more SEO or let it sit for a few weeks and work on a new site in the meantime

Hey Danny! What`s your average CTR from your site to amazon?

Thanks

I would follow my Seo Guide in the thread.

As stated many times in the thread - From My Experience My Sites Currently Convert 10-18% - when I had auto-blogs the conversion was much worse around 2-6 % up and down.

The lower the quality of traffic the worse the rate will be -- bad keywords --> all those other factors that come into play.

Surprised there are no comments today - about Sales or Sites or Performance

there is alot of information in this thread that can help you put together something to make some money -- of course it takes a few months to get going -- but with this Google Update Pending - I suggest people follow my basic Seo Guide for now -- its never a time to Spam Links - but keep it simple till we see the impact of the new Updates most definately.

I got some sales last month! It wasn't many but they were decent paying items. I've got a lot of sites, and ended up spreading myself thin over most of them, so i'm giving them hardcore focus, to wrap them all up.

Thanks Panther - Glad to see you Got some Reward for your Work -- developing a System is just as important as Setting them Up - as your finding out now.

Also you realized probably higher priced items are the way to go starting out -- its motivational when you make a Sale - and the commissions are obviously higher... so it adds up faster.

Best of Luck.

Update...

Woke up to two small sales this morning. I have noticed that the traffic and consistency are starting to pick up across all my sites now. I believe this is month 3. My conversion is hovering between 5-7%

I am adding content when I can, bookmarking and doing basic SEO. Most of the sites are ranking 1 2 or 3 for the keyword.

Thanks For Chiming in - yes those first few months are erratic until you find a steady place in the rankings .. there's not much you can do to really stop that.

Hopefully things start to pick up a little more as you go along -- please keep us updated .. cheers.
