The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

I was collecting information about my second site, finding products, keywords, good domain name, talk to writer, and then think about seo...... and then i realize one thing, that if i was unknown to SEO and if i outsource all my work done on my 1st site then earn money dosent enough to cover a small part of my investment......
But its ok, i hope that all my work will give me return slowely and atleast i have passive income source. so i am going to start my second site tomorrow....

But If you dont know SEO or you cant handle it yourself then AMAZON income is not for you until you have big amount in your bank to invest and patience. This will take time to rank your site on google, then you have need to analysis your traffic, structure of your site, your visitor interest etc. to earn more....

Well Facebook is great for Sure - but its not something that I use myself

I am a Seo Guy so I find this really easy now - and I don't worry about bans or stuff like that.

Plus like WhitePassion I use the same tools for clients - so my Seo cost is next to nothing other than time.

This thread is one way to do Amazon that I know 100% works - it may not be the "Best" Way or the most Efficient Way -- but if Seo is your thing - then you can put together 10--20 of these Sites and get a decent income each month.

All the best.

Yes .. If you outsource everything from day 1 there is no way to do that without a bankroll to play with.

Also product selection is key .. Anything less than $50 is only marginal as to profitability .. Like you said averaging $1 and selling 20 is not high enough .. But at $5 and $100 a month then it becomes a numbers game.

like you said studying traffic/behavior/conversions is also important to tweak your site to sell as best it can.

.... Probably also have to say ... Your going to need 10 sites to get anywhere .. 1 or 2 sites is just not reliable enough.

This should be nothing new to anyone though .. As its something I've been talking about since I started these threads. .. And when you get into it you get a better appreciation as to why that is.

Why don't you do a case study - ranking a site with GSA and ranking a site without GSA - and let us know after 12 months what makes the most money ?

(I'm not interested in using GSA)

Congrats man!
I started today and bought 2 EMD domains. My strategy is:
Stage 1: Make 10 sites. No autoblogs, only unique content.
Wait 2-3 monts.
Stage 2: Make SEO for Stage 1 sites and make more 10 sites.
Repeat until have 50+ EMD sites.
I hope that this is the way.
Btw - great thread, masive useful info. I read full thread for 4 hours, my eyes are too red now. :)
I wish all great success with Amazon marketing!

Now i dont get it. Why most of you guys have this 'insane' habit to buy as many domains as you can? Its obvious that more sites means more work and less quality, cus you can't focus like you should. I have 2 blogs, no more than that and i still dont have enough time to deal with both of them (i bank from these blog a lot of $$$$). Why not focus on 1 main website/blog and expand it? Just my 2 cents. Huh, THX Danny for this thread.

Honestly, if you can't manage two blogs I don't think you're working hard enough.

That was funny. I make with these 2 around 8-9k/month plus i have a life too. If you want to spend ur time in front of ur PC its ur choice dude but dont judge someone who dosent follow ur lead. I bet you eat in front of your computer am i right? :)

No need to get all cranky, just expressing my opinion.

how much content have you got on the 2 Sites though ?

I'm just guessing by saying its got to be substantial and aged -- big difference between doing that and starting from today only.

Most people here seem quite impatient waiting 2-3 months to really get some where - so for a larger site - Panadol would be sold
out at their local store for months LOL.

The age of the blogs is 2.5 years and i dont follow those numbers, i mean i post on every 2 days and i dont care how much i posted so far. Like u said i focus on user experience and content. I made my own themes ( took me 1 month for both of them, i wanted to be perfect - although one ive changed recently) and i tried diff. things so far, like links colors. bold or not, buttons (colors, placements) and so on - most of them details, but all together made almost a perfect theme .. at least for me.

Hi Danny, I've been following this thread and wanted to mention that I've read every post before I ask my question.

I understand that you're not taking the 'look at the GKT to see search volume, then just go for that keyword' approach (That's part of what I like about your system), but I think the most vague area of this thread is when it comes to selecting, keywords / niches topics for a site (hence, why there are so many questions about it).

What I'm finding so far is that if I use your example and say that I want to sell wireless routers, I'll plug that into some keyword tools to get some long tail keywords. I might find some keywords / ideas like this:

what's the best wireless router
how do you install a wireless router
should I get a wireless router for my desktop

When I run large batches of these through the Google keyword tool, I never see any with a search volume of more then 20 to 70 searches per month. I know that we're not just targeting the exact keywords, but even for writing content based around these keywords / questions there seems like there would be no traffic even if you were to rank number 1 for all of them.

So I guess what I'm wondering is since the GKT has been known to lie (or at least be inaccurate at times), would you just ignore those numbers and build articles around keywords like that anyway? Or is there a general guideline of number of searches per month that you'll look for in order to base articles around individual keywords / question keywords?

This thread is great, but the most original thing about it to me is not obsessing over trying to rank for a certain keyword. But if that's the case, it's also the part of your method that needs the most detail, yet it's the part that seems the most vague. Being that keyword research is almost always the most important part of anything SEO related, it just seems like (without more specific details) most people will end up failing because they didn't start this with step one properly researched. Would love to hear more about this from you!

Also, I sent you a PM, hope to hear from you soon,

Thanks!

Thats cool 2.5 years is a nice age - and you really seem to have found your mark online .. congrats.

Well there are a couple of tricks I use to make my sites go - which I call "secret sauce" .. these couple things I can't share because otherwise I'll see sites popping up competing with me directly ... So I think there is more than enough information on BHW for you to figure out what you need to do .. if not you can pay someone to give you the words/domains - as people offer this service for a few dollars.

If you want to use Keyword Tools then just bug the maker to show you how to do it.

Once you start in this your going to learn a tonne of things you don't know now - good/bad or indifferent - and those experiences teach you how to make money.

I'm sure some people will spam their sites / give up / not have the funds or just not figure out how to put it all together ----> but at the end of the day - this thread is completely free - so I'm not obligated to just copy/paste 100% of everything I do .. I feel I have given a roadmap that you can be successful with.

Lastly even a few people who have posted have made some decent sales after a month or 2 - so I think I've done a fair job of sharing.

Ill look at your Pm now.

To explain it another way .. I learn't everything myself through trial and error -- Wordpress / Magento / FSB Sites
spent alot of money testing everything and finding things that worked.

If I could have found a thread on BHW that told me 80% of that before I started and could start today with something that works -- I'd be ectastic.

So I think its better if each person finds that 20% as their own "secret sauce" -- rather than everyone just do the same thing.

Thanks for your reply (and the PM). Just wanted to make it clear that I'm definitely not looking to be spoon fed or asking what your own "secret sauce" is, I don't expect that from any thread! It just seemed to me that you're method is sort of centered around not obsessing over specific keywords. But without going into more detail about how to find subjects to write about (that accompany your products) that will actually bring in traffic, there's nothing in the way of knowledge that's really being given when it comes to keyword (or subject / question) targeting.

Anyway, interested to hear how more people are getting on with this.

the lowest priced item I sold yesterday was a medical item at $179.99

I know when you start its tempting to go for the $50 products - but to make it worthwhile - I'd be starting at $80-$100+ with my first sites - that way your going to get to the $100 a month easier - as long as you have the things right.

Just expanding on my earlier answer -- thinking about what your asking me.

the answer is - if you want me to do everything for you - then I would have to have a BST Thread and Charge Money for My Work.

But I'm just not interested in that - because even if I did that - it doesn't mean it will be successful for that person - because if they are lazy enough
to not learn anything from Day 1 - they won't keep up the Seo - They won't study conversions - They Don't Add New Content - They never customize anything

and when they eventually fail - it would be my fault.

So I'm not interested in working for anyone else - I'm happy with what I have and I don't need the $100 those type of cookie cutter churn out stuff looks like.

Take the reins yourself - figure it out and run with it ... its 2013 not 2003 - The Internet is a Huge Business.

Cheers

Hi Danny, Firstly, thank you for the time you're putting in to help people out, your threads have been a great motivator for me.. I am starting to do SEO for an Amazon site and was looking at your suggestions. I just wondered how important the first step of paid press releases is? Do they need to be paid or are there free sites you can use? And do you have any recommendations for press release sites?

Cheers

you can start with free until you make some money __ PR are Gr8 ways to get easy Sales

I have a subsciption I use for Seo clients - so I release mine as part of that package.

You can search all this stuff in Google as to what your options are.
