Got an idea, need some feedback.
The most engaged audiences are most of the time those of TV shows, movies and games. What if you find products that relate to the CATEGORY the TV show, movie or game is in. So no nothing that directly links to them, no use of names, logos or images that are trademarked or copyrighted. On your webshop you also never use any words or images that link to them, you just use words like "for true fans only" because the audience you are targeting with your Ads already knows what the product is about.
I'll give an example of the gaming industry. You find a piece of jewelry with a symbol of a "joystick" or something that RELATES to gaming. So it is a generic item that is not trademarked or copyrighted. Via Facebook Ads you can be specific when targeting an audience that likes a particular game. In your Ad copy you use the free+shipping method to get the attention and interaction on the Ad. On your webshop there is nothing but absolutely nothing that says like "Legend of Zelda fans" or "World Of Warcraft fans" or similar because those are all trademarked names. Don't use jewelry like very recognizable swords or items from games those are trademarked as well.
The real power here is the use of Facebook Ads (or Instagram maybe) because you can target a specific audience that likes a specific game, movie or tv show BUT you try to sell them a generic item that's not trademarked. Nothing on your webshop tells visitors that you used Facebook Ads to target a Trademarked Audience via advertising.
What do you guys think?
bump this one
Ok, well but just because you are not mentioning LoL or WoW in written, if the item uses tm'ed characters it is still not legal. This would be same as if you sell e.g. fake Hugo Boss fragrance in same bottle with same fragrance but on the bottle it says HUGO BASS.
?? There is no reason you should be analyzing an ad unless it has run for at least 2-3 days. I really don't understand.
I tryed twitter ads but i just wasted my money.... 0 sales
Who makes money and has a great ROI with FACEBOOK ADS? People may have that maybe with an own Instagram account that has lots of followers in the niche the person is selling, because it is their account they do not have to pay for advertising, so of course ROI is great. But also as you see, e.g. sythix has 1 order for every 100 visitors, so you need 1000 visitors to make a small $50 profit. This is far from being a profitable business.
Also changing niche back and forth, I do not see what is the point of this. If products that are that hot on aliexpress and ebay on facebook do not even convert to VISITS (not to mention sales), then it is not working. As I said, I already got 1000 pe for a tshirt in summer, but zero sales.
I do not understand why people should use this method preferred to selling on ebay. It is quite logic: If a harry potter fan goes to ebay, his intention is to BUY harry potter stuff. But if he opens facebook his intention is NOT to buy Harry Potter stuff, he has no intention to buy ANYTHING at all. He is going there for entertainment, for watching videos, for chatting, for looking on friends pinwalls etc.
And then accidentially he sees an ad for HP stuff, so just only because of this he is not buying, he did not come in a BUYING MOOD to facebook.
Also about targeting on facebook. If you want to sell dog collars, and your target group are people with interest "dog". That does not mean that these are buyers. Just because somebody LIKES dogs or dog-related fan pages, it is not a MUST that he also OWNS a dog. But if he does not OWN a dog, he does not buy a dog collar. Also if he likes a specific dog fan page, it does NOT mean that he MUST OWN a dog. I can also like a fan page for ferrari's but I do not have one.
This "free+shipping" method, you can also sell for $1 plus $9 shipping on ebay, and everyone who comes to your listing is TARGETED. If he does not have a dog or want a collar, then he also does NOT search for it on ebay. If he DOES he is a POTENTIAL BUYER.
Well, not sure why I should have to wait for days and throw around with money if I also after a couple of hours already can see that it won't work again. From a 36% conversion ad and 300 people reached again not one visit to website.
You should just quit this method honestly. you don't listen to instructions from the people it's actually working for. If you don't want to wait days for the advert to settle and optimise then just STOP. If you are only using 1 advert then STOP. If you don't want to take the time to find good niches then please just STOP. It's that simple.
A REACH OF 300 PEOPLE IS NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! PEOPLE ARE HITTING WELL OVER OVER 3000 THEN FINDING THEIR WINNING ADVERTS
I've said it so many times before.... jesus
The entire point of this dam method is to start various adverts and wait to let them optimise and kill the losers. THEN you will make all your money back 10 fold once you have a will. You you are to impatient for that then just stop.
This thread is for me to help people. Not for some guy to rave and rant about the method when he hasn't even done it correctly in the first place.
Also your latest ad pictures makes no sense. Are you only doing one advert? and you have only spent a few cents. How on earth can you even justify that advert when it's clearly new and not even anywhere near the point of cutting it or not...
It's not a fact of "need". It's a fact of "want" find shit people want and make them think they need it with your adverts. The harry potter shit and dog LED collar is burnt, it's time for people to give them a rest. Apart from the ones who are doing well out of it though.
This is just not the case. I did NOT use one ad. This ad was just an example, I do not really want to post my whole ad account here. In total there are maybe 20 ads. And I do not know what to wait for?! Sorry I do not get it. Kill the losers?
I have almost 40% conversion rate and I pay 2 cent per PE, could it be any better? The ad already is "top".
The problem is not that I have no engagement, or that I pay high CPC or something. I have high conversion rate and I pay lowest click rate. The problem is, people are NOT GOING TO MY WEBSITE. If they do not go there with a 40% conversion rate ad they also will not go there with a 80% CR. If from 500 people nobody goes there, from 1000 also nobody goes there, maybe 1-2.
If this thread is here for helping people, then please help me with this method. You said my niches are not good, but the strange thing that these niches obviously have been good for people writing on this thread. So why not for me? I am not selling the same PRODUCT, only in the SAME NICHE. So you want to tell me, I cannot use any niche that already has been used?
Also if there is a product with 5000 orders on aliexepress and top selling on ebay and amazon, and on my ad I get 40% conversion (meaning from 1000 people 400 oviously like this product), then why from this 400 nobody is even checking out the website? If you say my price is too high, ok, I will lower it. If you say shipping is too high, I will lower it. If you say my shop needs UI improvements, I will do it. But if nobody is even going to the website, then what to do?
I have been doing this method now for 2 weeks, with about 20 ads and products, some of them already removed from the shop. I tried post engagement, website clicks, website conversions, broad audience, targeted audience, facebook ads, instagram ads, pets niche, movie niche, jewelry niche, car niche etc. I spent about €60 on ads, in total I got 4 orders with €5 profit each, so after this "test" I am here with a loss of €40. If I had put the same products on ebay, at first I had not to pay anything for listing. When they sold, I have to pay fees, but they have been already calculated in my sales price, so I lose nothing. And all of my "bad niche products" sell like crazy on ebay
I'm not sure where you are getting all these 40%+ conversion rates from? you should only be getting conversions when someones buys. If your CPC are to high then ad space is too competitive or not optimised correctly. For this conversion rate are you talking about people liking the advert? Who cares about likes I wouldn't worry about them. It's all about getting the people to the site to buy and to do this things need to be optimised until that happens. If eBay and Amazon work better then by all means use them.
Everything has its adavantages and disadvantages. On ebay you get more sales and you do not need to figure out audience etc, but you have to pay fees and ebay most of the time favors the buyer. On your own website and when using your method, you can sell for lower than on ebay and make more profit, but you need to pay for ads and spend much time on figuring out everything.
I like the method and I would be more than happy if it finally would work, but it does not look like that. The latest product, it is in Star Wars niche. A billion $ niche. But again, people only like and comment, but do not buy. Do not even go to website. It is a product related to Star Wars that really everyone really can use, it is not an action figure or a necklace, something completely different. But still no success ....
