The Shopify + Facebook Method FAQ - All Questions Here Please.

I was actually working on this.

My method is kind of the same but different at the same time.

I think the key here is purely the right ad's.

I actually created free products in a different way for example:
http://www.acnecklace.com
http://www.getaporo.com

These are 2 examples. I got 8 running and i am trying to advertise them with Facebook.
I actually tried movies to promote my product but it does not work out that well. 0 conversions at this moment.

I will try with steady images and that kind of stuff.

Example of a movie:
https://www.facebook.com/hoverdealsonline/videos/459306864273096/?permPage=1

I still have confidence in my websites. If you ask me they look nice but some how i can not manage to get them to actually buy the product.

This is what my ads did:
ads.jpg

I also set my advertisements to only show to people who are interested in the actual game the item is from.. So targeted af if you ask me.

Hey guys I will get to these questions soon, I'm going out for a bit so don't have time just yet but in the mean time here are some wise words from another BHW member. He's making about $60 a day.

I might give this a go. Oversaturated to high-heaven but I think worth a shot. Just wondering whether everyone here just focuses on USA or do they do it world-wide? I've never seen these ads on my Facebook in the UK.

I have no fakin idea how the hell have you made that AMAAAAZING universal facebook pixel work. It just doesn't work for me no matter what and I am unbelievably pissed already.
My pixel is active, but it's not tracking crap. It should be inserted within head tags, but Shopify inserts it below that, christ.
And their Facebook pixel helper just keeps bitching about

"Facebook Pixel did not load.Event ID: Purchase
The Facebook Pixel pixel code on this page didn't load so no information was sent to Facebook."

Any insight?

EDIT: Ah nevermind, I changed it to old pixel. Retarded new universal pixels.

Hey Franklin, I watched a few of your YT videos with different methods you teach and I do not understand what are the advantages of this method comparing to Amazon affiliate method. With Amazon, I do not have to worry about shipping, charge backs, placing orders... Please elaborate.

Here are the steps to installing the FB pixel:

PART ONE
1. Log into your Facebook Ads Manager
2. At the top, click on Tools, and then Pixels.
3. Click on Actions, then View Pixel Code.
4. Copy the code.

PART TWO
1. Log into your shopify admin account.
2. On the left panel, click on the Online Store (the earth symbol), then click on Themes.
3. At the top right of the screen, click on the small "..." button, which is to the left of Customize Theme. In the drop-down menu, click on Edit HTML/CSS.
4. Under the "Layout" folder, click on the file name theme.liquid.
5. On the right side, you'll see a huge code. Scroll down to about line 55 (usually), and you'll see a line that says </head>. All you have to do is enter the code a line or two above that.

Boom. You're done.

IMPORTANT: You do not have the "Edit HTML/ CSS" option if you are only using a trial account. It works with the Basic (cheapest) Plan, however.

Anyone has decent email templates for Shopify? You can place a link here or send me a private message. It's all about the details.

Updates

Today, received a $9.99 confirmed order! I am still in process of tweaking my ad campaign.

I spent around $4 in ads (two), $2.19 for the product. My profit is 3.8! (small..but i am happy!)

I am still learning how to optimize my ad... Today is my day 2 of optimizing. (tweaked the gender & age from day 1)

Advice appreciated.

At last! I would give you a kiss for this #nohomo #brokiss

Just asking some noob questions

1) What is the average cost per conversion we should go for before we put in more funds into the ad?
2) How many on-going winning ads do you have.

Sale is considered conversion (at least in this case), so that's what you have to target. Adding to cart is maybe worth tracking as well, but you don't need that really.

However that brings me to the fact, that I set up my pixel wrong as well. Pixels have been my arch enemy for years now. How do you guys set them up exactly please? I had some conversion overnight, but of course, my pixel was set up wrong for some reason. I was apparently tracking "page views", because I thought that it will fire everytime the thank you page is shown, well it fired in a way. I can see in tools -> pixel, that it fired twice (no idea why, considering I have just 1 order), but I can't see any conversions in my ad manager, so I have no idea which ads worked. I changed it to "fbq('track', 'Purchase', {value: 'XXXX', currency: 'USD'});" now, so I hope that fixes things.

Yes and by the way, this is a nice article on new facebook pixel and stuff, quite good article - http://www.jonloomer.com/2015/07/16/facebook-upgraded-pixel/

Changed to Purchase Conversion and got a sale. :D Thanks pal.

Mate your sites are nice, what theme did you use?
(but they make my core2 pc burn)

Also I think you dont have any conversion because on IE your sites look very cheap (without the moving background since IE blocks JS by default). They look great on FF though but you have to optimize them for IE which is the most used browser.
And cheap looking site = less conversions.

Advice appreciated.

Bit hard to tell from that picture but i would usually replicate a working advert then tweak it even more.

Just asking some noob questions

2) How many on-going winning ads do you have.

I usually let Facebook work out my conversion cost. Anything over $3 I kill. Optimal around $2 and I've even seen 4c before.

Franklin i've been stalking your profile and website and I can't seem to find what I am looking for so I had to ask.

I remember reading a reply you posted a while back. You said these guys are doing dropshipping right and you linked to a website that sold army/fashion looking bags.

What was that site called haha. It was a great example and now It had slipped my memory.

Hi Guys,

I just started my Facebook campaign yesterday. Today i got some conversions. But no sales. Pretty excited! Just to check with you guys if i am on the right track?

When i create the campaign objective. I can link it to a pixel. I chose "Add to Cart" as the objective. The other options are not available (grayed out). E.g. Purchases.

Below is my ad results. (Started 3)

View attachment 73259

It seems that i should be tweaking on the first ad.

Here are some burning questions i have

1) For conversions, am i targeting the wrong objective? Logical thinking, i believe i should be using "Purchases" as objective. I am not sure why it is grayed out.

Appreciate any advice

Cheers

If it grey out maybe it's not installed correctly? I've never seen that greyed out bit before. But yeah purchases should be the objective.

Just some more info for anyone scrolling this thread. I managed to ninja into some elite Facebook group today that talks about this method. No idea how long I can go un detective but I got some info lol.

So after looking thought this group there seems to be a huge gap between people making money and people not making money. When I talk about making money I'm talking about guys like this who are making 80k+ a month. he started on $10 a day then upscaled.

http://i.imgur.com/tuTeTxr.png

So whats the main factor in the people making money and the people who don't? Niches and products.

If you don't sell something that people want and go "wow" when they see it you won't do as well. I spent 3 hours today researching other peoples results and the conclusion was niches and products to be the main issue.

Put it this way. Recently a case study was release in a course where a guy made over 35k selling a legends of Zelda pendent. A study showed that over 80% of people who join the course tried to replicate it because they were lazy and tried to sell pendants as well. They all failed. The remaining 20% either didn't try or went on to find there own niches. Out of that 20% about 5% found a dope niche and made bank off it.

The point to that is don't worry about what anyone else is selling. Dig deep find a good niche and you can't go wrong.

Hello everybody!

First of all, thank you Franklin. This is pure gold :)

Just a quick question. I just contacted my supplier on Aliexpress about not including the invoice in the packet and she said:
'' there are not include invoice ,but we have to fill Declared value for customs clearance ''

Is this going to be ok or I got to find another supplier?

Thank you guys and wishing you the best in your journeys!
Claudiu.

yea thats fine. If there is any paper work attached there really isn't any way around it because declaration have to be attached. If anyone has any issues you just tell them you shipped straight from your warehouse over seas.

Considering he has only sold 57 items for $18k... he is selling items for $300+, which can't be for shipping. So he is clearly using a different idea that just involves selling an item for profit. That isn't really the same as this method other than using shopify and advertising.

I have setup a woocommerce store but shipping seems not to work correctly.
E.g. if I have 2 shipping classes, free shipping and flat rate.
And I assign 1 product to free shipping class and then 2nd product to flat rate, then why it shows for the 2nd product also free shipping when it is put in the cart?
It is even more complicated if someone buys both products, and ten times more complicated if I add a coupon code.
Anyone has a guide on this? How to set up shipping with woocommerce for different products (one with free shipping, one with flat rate, both products in cart but shipping only taken for the product assigned to flat rate class etc.)

ALMOST got my first refund.

I guess you just got to treat this like a real business, and keep it professional. I think I handled it well.

(This person messaged me on social media)

Them: Question.

Me: whats up?

Them: You recently did a giveaway for ******, right?

Me: Yes, have you not received your order?

Them: Unfortunately, I haven't received my order.

Me:Okay, under what name did you purchase?

Me: I will take a look.

Them: Justin ******

Me: **** (Address Details removed for protection)

Me: This is the correct address?

Them: Yes

Me: Ok.

Me: Okay Justin, the goods are coming from a warehouse that is overseas. I see you ordered on the 12th, not sure what is taking so long (holidays maybe?) but I can assure you it's on it's way and you will get it. I can do one of two things, we can wait it out a couple days, or I can refund you your total shipping cost right now.

Me: Which would you like?

Them: I guess I can wait it out a couple of days.

Me: Okay, if at any time you want a refund, just ask me. I have no problem doing it. I am sorry for the delay, but I appreciate your understanding and patience Justin.

Hi!
Shopify requires monthly payments! I was wondering if I could just set up an online website with a store? would that cost more or less?

I'm based in NZ would this be harder for me?
