My advice is:
1. Do not quit when you start hitting bumps in the road to your million.
2. Have a good road map to follow, prefferablly a proven one from someone who has already made a million online.
3. Do not set your goals at a level that are probably not achievable in a particular time frame.
4. If at first you do not succeed, re-evaluate your strategy and continue on to your goal.

Start building minisites and/or autoblogs using the threads explaining the process here on BHW. Put together just one or two to start, but build them from start to finish, and use a 3 income center approach--build the site based on a highly clicked adsense word, that corresponds to a high-ticket physical product on Amazon, plus a digital product (CB or other ebook). Concentrate on niche and keyword research in the morning, content generation in the afternoon, and traffic generation in the evening.
To bring in quick cash or trickle money now, do some freelancing or Fiverr gigs on the side---the point being not to live on $4 bucks you get here or there from them, but to validate that you are making money from IM. That should keep your morale up until more serious money starts rolling in.

I would have to say that your expectations are probably

Well, my goal is 2700€ (I'm from Germany) a day. That's round about 3500$ (US Dollar) a day.
Maybe some of You think, I am crazy. Well let me tell you something: There were days, when I made 280€ and 300€ a day! I was making active Advertising in German Forums. Now my goal is PASSIVE INCOME, to build websites which are on Page #1 of Google. My first (Test) Website is already on 10 Keywords on Google's first site. Yahoo and Bing are now indexing, too. Believe me, my page was in Google right 2 days after I bought the Domain. THANKS TO WORDPRESS! It's a very small niche and it's about a German TV Show, I try to sell tickets about it, but sadly the tickets are already sold out. So I am just making roundabout 200€ a month from it, but hey, my only goal was to get on first site of Google!
So the first Test Site was a FULL SUCCESS.
And I bought after 6 months a FORD MUSTANG GT with roundabout 450 Horsepower =) Price: 24.000€ so 31.000 $ For proof PM me and I will post you my Facebook Profile Pics =)
