The risks in buying Discord users

Hey there BHW!
I'm looking into buying a few thousands discord users to one of my servers.
the purpose of the purchase is to, obviously, improve it's optics to new members joining.

Now, besides sellers that try to market their services, or Discord official terms and conditions, i couldn't really find how to do it as safe as possible, and couldn't identify major risks in doing so.
It made me think that i'm probobly missing something.

Anyone with experience can share some insights?
