It would be a long and tedious process for the Admins to dig back and
see who was and who was not getting/giving Neg Reps and +Reps and
if they were justified in giving/receiving them. There are more important
issues to be attended to.

this is the worst news possible! like many people i relied heavily on the rep system to determine my personal worth as a person on a day-to-day basis.
