I just don't get the fuss about an iPad. Maybe it's my age! A mate of mine tried to convince me. I have a great digital camera and a great lightweight laptop, a decent phone and a kindle already. I just can't see the point of it. Jack of all trades, master of none.

I have one of those and love it... great toy.
I did order the new iPad for my wife yesterday as she is due an upgrade over her current one as this one does look very cool.
Neither one is a need although the eee pad did save my backside at ASE as I had laptop issues.
The iPad is just to make life nicer for my wife and we'll give her current one to one of our children.

The new iPad seems good, but it doesn't seem to be a huge step up from the iPad 2. The retina display and improved camera are nice features, but there isn't anything on it that makes me wish I'd waited to get the new model instead of buying one in December. As for the whole gaming debate, I think that iPads are great if you're looking for a small, light device to browse the web or watch films on. However, I do not consider my iPad to be a gaming device. There are some great games which really use the full power of the device, such as Infinity Blade and there are plenty of other fun games which are reasonably priced. When it comes the games you can get on the likes of the 3DS and PS Vita, the iPad is no match.

completely agree.
Ipad is definitely way smoother and also faster than any android tablet.
Personally i dont like android but I have droid 4 (the new one) and the oldie samsung Gtab 10.1 just for testing my games. I can say though that apple products beat them like no contest in terms of real speed and user experience.
Even windows phone mango, with only one core processor, is still faster and more stable than any android phone (just that they still lack of apps). Compare lumia 800 with galaxy nexus and you'll see what I mean. Im not talking about seeing videos on youtube but really testing them for few days.
