I have had local prospect clients want to come over to my house just so they can see the computer. New client prospects are constantly wowed when they see photos of it.
Bottom line, not only is it functional, its a marketing tool, and helps sell my business. The computer has paid for itself in new deals. That alone is worth the investment.

Over the years I've paid for many 'over the top' things because a client or potential sale sees value or expertise in it (whether or not it actually provides any real benefit.) Marketing is largely perception control, so anything that causes an increased ROI is worthwhile, as long as you're not just fooling yourself and get a tangible bottom-line benefit.
