nice pc just wondering what your running locally that needs that much power?

Son, I have been doing SEO with SEO programs probably longer than you have known what SEO is.
But it's nice that you did what you had to do and learned it yourself, good.

But like guys are saying one of the most important things is your internet connection, if you don't have at least 100mbps then there's no point in spending that much money on a machine that can handle much much much more than you have offer.

Well, no idea what you need a machine like that for for SEO.

Bandwidth and memory (up to say 16 gigs) and a decent processor - just decent is enough a modern i3 or i5 would be fine.

Rather spend the cash on 5 cheap monthly VPS's all on different IPs - get 2 years worth of SEO for the cost of that machine.

All that being said - it is a very nice looking rig, just not sure what the processing power has to do with SEO at that level.

You are nothing in SEO without high speed internet connections.

Ok, I re-checked your machine and it made me a sad panda.. so much money wasted. Better add SLI or Crossfire to it and play BF4 on ultra. You are wasting way too much money if you keep it as a "server".

Few tips:

1) Your PSU is total overkill
2) Bad CPU choice (better go with E3-1270 for example)
3) Too much and too expensive RAM.. you probably wont use even 16GB
4) Your watercooling is not very effective.. My i7 2600K runs 32*C with stock fan idle..
5) Your case.. lol, total overkill

You could have made very good SEO server with half of the money you spent on building this beast.

When I'm honest, it looks nice, but.. for SEO server? It's like using a lambo daily to go to the store and buy milk

I'd suggest doing better research in the future Don't hesitate to ask questions if you need any advice

If I had a lambo I would most defiantly take it to the store to get milk. Hell I would drive the bitch to the end of the drive way to check the mail. Why? Because I have a lambo, I win!

Hey guys thanks for all the comments and suggestions! Id like to respond and clear up a few things as well.

Many comments about internet connections! Yes I have 100 MBS, I live in canada. I recently recieved a call from my internet provider stating that I have the highest residential bandwith usuages in canada, and, thats also true going back 20 years. I guess I am getting my moneys worth!

I pay $180 a month for my internet connection. Considering I was paying about $50 a month anyways for internet, the cost is about $130 a month to run this thing.

Regarding the cost, I purchased the PSU, Case, Processor and Mother board all second had, almost new for about 50% of the original cost saving me a good chunk of change and also contributed to the long build time as I acquired componets. The case and Mother board were actually never used before!
I only bought the ram and cooling components brand new!

Diplomat I appreciate all your suggestions, and here are my responses.

1) As above yes it is but it came with the red cabling which adds to the overall appeal.
2) This xeon is not overclockable, so I am quite certian that with the overclock, my CPU is quite faster.
3) Again wanting to stick with the red theme, and yes I have never fully used 64 GB, but I reguralry use 20-30 on average and has been as high as 50! Also I would rather not max out ram, i need some overhead to operate on. You are going to hit a bottlekneck somewhere, EIther RAM, PROCESSOR, or BANDWITH, of those 3, RAM is the the CHEAPEST! and currently its the only one I wont max out. Im happy its set up this way.
4) Please look closer at the benchmark results. Those temps are the Processor running at 100% capacity for 5 minutes with a 4.855 GHZ overclock. not stock and idol. TO get a overclock this high you need to increase the core voltage, which generates additonal heat to keep the processor stable when running at high capacity.
5) Again got a wicked deal on the case. This case is also one of the only cases that can house a Classified SR2 board to hold dial xeon 3690 processors, which are one of the only xeon processors that can be overclocked. A possible future upgrade path. The prices are coming down for used ones so I may pull the trigger this year for a setup, but right now i haven't felt the need.

So id like to comment on the design and look. I do seo for various clients, and like anything you need to sell yourself. Real estate agents drive around in fancy cars to help show a sign of professionalism and wealth to help close deals. Sure a beater will get them to work but it may not sell a house.
I have had local prospect clients want to come over to my house just so they can see the computer. New client prospects are constantly wowed when they see photos of it.
Bottom line, not only is it functional, its a marketing tool, and helps sell my business. The computer has paid for itself in new deals. That alone is worth the investment.

Comments on why dont I just run 5 VPS...
Well I did! Before this I rented a powerful OVH sever at about $150 a month. I split it into 12 seperate VPS computers and I installed SEnuke and other programs on each one.
Let me tell you, trying to manage 12 computers is a Major nightmare! I would spend 2 hours every day creating new campaigns. If you go to my website and look at the quadcore template package I am selling on there. Those are the templates I used to try and keep my time more efficent. The cost to duplicate software over and over again is also expensive! I would rather get the most out of each seo tool.
Software I use..well senuke, Zenno poster, GSA ser, CB, tweet demon, ultimate demon, xrumer, scrapebox.

Not sure if I missed anything. I hope that helps people understand my thought process and uses for building this computer.

What does a high end pc have to do with seo? You dont need a high end pc to do seo. When u do, u can rent cloud by the hour. 99% of the seo work doesnt even need a pc running software. On top of that, home internet is shit compared to a DC. DCs have direct peering with eachother and NIXes.

seriously what does a super fast computer has to do anything with link building/seo/sem? I mean its good for playing games but again if it works for you its great.
