You may wonder, how should you spend your time in a day?
This is a good method that works well for me
Some Methods to Make Money Starting Out
-Fiverr reselling to local clients (buy 500 Facebook likes for $5 and resell to business owners on Yelp for $99/mo)
-Tumblr + Image Posting (adult niche or regular niche, using softwares)
-Pinterest + Affiliate Amazon Linking (using auto pins to increase popularity)
-Niche Sites ($1/day/site)
-Email List + Free Product (give out free products, to build your email list, so you can sell ad spots or send out aff links)
This is how I divide my day
Research Driven Work
20% - Researching (Read on blogs, read how to make money online on BHW thread, stay up to date on new trends
10% - Reading an Ebook (Reading a specific ebook on a method)
15% - Chatting on skype/email/phone - to discover what's working
30% - Working (I have a major goal, then sub goals/milestone for each goal, and I have a list of step by step's under each sub goal)
20% - Upkeep (Analytics updating, dealing with administrative stuff, etc.)
5% - I'm chatting on Facebook, but I am not reading any news, since too much new information from the media and you will be too distracted and get nothing done.
By keeping your research rate at about 50%, and your working rate at about 50%,
you will make sure that you will stay on top of methods, and put those ideas into action
Some people do 90% talking and 10% working. Or some people just do too much reading and no working!
How my goals would work
Main Goal: Automated Niche Site Generating $1/day from Adsense
Sub Goal Tasks
1. Research Profitable Niche: What keyword tools to use? (2 hours)
2. Setting up Site (2 hours)
3. Setting up Monetization (30 minutes)
4. Content (Either write it yourself or pay someone) (1 hr)
5. Backlink Building (Will I use tools or buy a service?)
Under Setting Up Site I May Have
-Register Domain
-Install wordpress
-Point DNS
-Configure settings and permalinks on wordpress
Backlink Building
How do I determine which service is good?
1. Look at the reviews posted by the user
2. Message the user and ask them about what they did specifically.
Sometimes they are using multiple service. A service with good recent reviews
means it has a good chance of doing well for you too.
Softwares to Help with Task Management:
FlashNote
Toodledo
EverHelper
A good strategy is to research your competitors and see what they're doing. I don't do much of that.
You can analyze your competitor backlinks in your niche using Ahrefs and try to ask on BHW what kind of links are being built.
Then you can duplicate their efforts.
Please post if you have questions!
