Very true, but even then that's a good thing. Big corporations should always take the lead and risk to transform themselves.Oh those brands/products have nothing to do with true AI. It's just a ploy to get more investors and/or sell more units.
If Microsoft remains a "MS Office" and a more "Windows OS" firm, then it will die.
Look at IBM, one hundred years ago they did something completely different from what they are doing now. But if they didn't transform/evolve they would've been dead all along.
With each new generation and CEO, a company has a chance to revolutionize itself and maybe pivot into a new industry (such as AI).
I personally congratulate every company and person who dares to take the risk, buries their comfort zone and just leaps forth.
But that's just my opinion
