You know, the fundamentals still work in IM as they do in almost EVERY other industry. Proper KW research, good content, decent backlinks, naming your images correctly, choosing a niche that is "dear to your heart" and all the other things that made IM work for your average guy back in the day still work today.
Like a lot of others I look at a variety of things that people are doing to rank sites and test many of them as that is part of what I think is important to keep current but I always come back to fundamentals.
I could go on and on and I know you could as well... the basic fundamentals is where the money is long term and deviating from that as a long term business model is not usually going to make you a winner.
Sure, there are instances where an "out of the box", crazy idea turned into a winner but the standard bearer of basic strong fundamentals is almost always going to give you a steady lifestyle.
Build your IM business using fundamentals in whatever end of the business you are in and you have a significantly much better chance of coming out a winner and having a long term business.
OK, back to your regularly scheduled programming.
