Yea i got paid 3.15 and 3.02 for two or my articles. Took them 5 days to review them, not bad. I'm making a little over 100% ROI, not bad. Alpha, have you considered outsourcing your work?

I've now had 70 articles submitted, so I can make a better conclusion.
It gets much harder to get $3...
You have to make sure your content is not all over AC. If it's a popular subject you will be getting $2.24 or less
Quality of content doesn't seem to matter. As long as you have correct grammar and spelling.
I'm going to stop using this method now. It actually sucks unless you can write on obscure subjects, which AC likes.

The people averaging $5 an article know what they are doing though. I really don't care how much I get an article because i spend so little time on it. On the other hand, some of the other people take their time in trying to get the most $$

Lol of course I'm talking AC. Ac has a forum for those who don't know, it's a good place to start looking for advice if you want to start earning those higher payments. Unless you are like Deleted member 15724 who don't really care about how much you get per article.
I have to care though because I stop outsourcing for now. But I'll be happy to continue to average at $3 because it keeps me near my target each week.

Speaking about testing out obscure subjects... there a plenty of those over by Ezine, you don't even have to search hard for them, because they are published every day. I reworte one on a subject which I only saw one article for at AC, just to see how much I'll be paid. If I get $4+ I'm going to submit some others.

There are some more definitive answers on this thread "What Types of Articles on AC Make the Most Money?". This is a thread on the actual AC forums. Many of these guys are making min. $4 per article, and the best thing is that you can just click on their names and check out their articles. It's interesting to see that many of them are publishing articles around 400 words or so, some even less. Word length does not appear to be a big factor. Check it out:

Got hold of a guy who's rewriting for $1 a piece. Got more people interested in my ad. Living in India has some advantages after all (when it comes to marketing)!

Nice thread....writing is king yes but I really think the speaking really will speed up the process. There are probably places paying more the key will be to find them.
