Hey B-Hatters:

I don't really know if this will help or not, but I think that,
for the benefit of BHW, I need to mention something which
I have noticed time-and-time again.

If someone starts a thread in any given section of the forum
and you have a criticism to make in regards to it, there are
two ways you can go about doing it:

1) THE RIGHT WAY, in which you offer a "Constructive Criticism",
by saying something along the lines of "I tend to disagree with
your statement because I believe that . . ." (and then you offer
an intelligent and hopefully helpful suggestion or state your
opinion in a rational and polite way).

This identifies you as a respectable member and people on the
forum will tend to take your comments more seriously because,
even though you are offering a criticism, you are doing it in a
helpful way.

------------------------------------------------

2) THE WRONG WAY, in which you offer "Destructive Criticism"
by saying such things as "You are full of shit man!", or "That
product is a piece of crap!", or "You don't know what the f*ck
you are talking about, dude!", etc., etc.

By saying such things as that, you are contributing no help or
value to the thread or this forum for that matter. And you are
coming across to the other members as an irrational, immature
individual, and as a result, you will get little or no respect from
the members.

Well, that's the end of my rant. Like I said, I don't know if
this will help at all, but hopefully it might make some of the
newer members think (and some older members too).

Cheers! - "Wiz"

I agree with you WizGizmo and there should be a few more replies from others who agree on how to treat your fellow peers, do I get a woot woot! ( i was playing LOL). Yeah I agree, not only here but I have got a few RUDE comments from complete strangers on other forums that had me flaming mad. There is no reason to crucify another persons opinion or character unless they reply to you very rudely for no reason... that's prob my weakness.

Hey Wiz, its Dizz, LOL... I totally agree with you, as we have had some threads just take a life of their own whenever we ask a question some deem to basic or they sit there and say, look you say all these things why are you asking a question. Well..... We participate in the rudeness if it is on our thread, but generally it just keeps going on and going on and we just have to abandon that thread bc nothing constructive was going on. It doesn't progress our threads it digresses (or whatever the opposite of progress is... No, its not congress... LMAO) our threads...

You might want to make an additional paragraphs referring to the many self-centered, elitist snobs around here, who couldn't give a newbie a decent response if their life depended on it.
