Exactly! Quality content and site speed are the foundation. Once that’s solid, backlinks will have a much bigger impact.
 
I totally get this. Chasing external signals can be a real time sink if your site isn't up to par. I saw a major shift once I prioritized improving my overall site experience and making sure it performed well for visitors. Quality content and a solid technical foundation truly make a difference. When the internal elements are strong, any efforts you put into off-site visibility become far more effective. For me, site improvements came first, always.
 
Totally agree without a strong site, backlinks alone won’t move the needle. On page improvements set the stage for link building to truly pay off.
 
Links open the door, but it’s the strength of your site inside that decides how far you go never skip the basics.

I started doing SEO with almost absolute faith in the power of backlinks. Every document, every expert, every course emphasized: “Backlink is king.” I devoted all my time to link building – from writing guest posts, going to forums, to even buying high-quality links. Traffic increased – as expected.
 
That’s a one of the great point! Many people overlook site quality and jump straight to backlinks. Fixing technical issues and improving content really amplifies the results.
 
Yes, Backlinks only work well when the page itself is strong, Google now rewards quality and user experience before link power.
 
Its strange that opticians never give you eye exercises to do at home to strengthn your vision, they are just hell bent on selling you glasses. This is like SEO and backlinks. lol

Fixing on-page stuff made a bigger difference. Good content + fast site made my backlinks actually count.
 
Totally agree. I noticed the same, fixing on-page stuff like site speed, internal links, and content depth made a huge difference. Once the site quality improved, even a few backlinks started moving the rankings fast.
