It is great if you can afford it but if you're new to coding your website getting notepad program would do just fine too

I suppose you mean an auto blog? Which posts by itself? Well you could try WP Robot or wp-o-matic (Free), there are other plugins as well. You could buy auto blog sites as well, if you have money to invest, a member "remmaps" has a great service, his service posts unique content to your desired site automated, with pictures, videos, SEO on-page done.
