The camera YOU are using for your videos?

Canon t4i with Zoom H4N recorder. Any canon DSLRs will do. I recommend the 5dmkIII if you have the money for it

I currently also have the old gopro, like I mean the fish eye lens one. Not the biggest fan of it due to the lens.

I'm curious if anyone here has any experience with the newest gopro, in particular the new hero4 black. Then the black magic cinema camera.

canon 5d mkII and canon 7d, both are good but if you're gonna invest i would suggest black magic cinema camera, DSLR for video is ok but considering where the trend is going for digital film camera, i would go for the black magic
 
In the past I used a 480p camcorder from JVC to make videos, but going to be using my note 3 since I can record in 4K and then downsample to 1080p.
 
I use a Canon 70D w/ a 24-105 f/4 USM lens... that's not necessary for vlog videos though, a prime 50mm f/1.8 would do perfect for something like that.

I started out using a cheap Takstar shotgun mic but now use a Sennheiser wireless lavalier mic - sounds waaaay better for voice/interview type stuff.
 
The video quality of that is not very good honestly. I could make a better video with my samsung phone. Any camera can do that, just get an external light source.
 
I use all formats digital,pixels little pixels even analog and they watch llike puppies,personally I dont think is the camera
 
I use my Samsung Galaxy S4 camera to record my video tutorial for YouTube. It's enough. Great quality!
 
For anyone in the Canon/Nikon game, look at Prime Lenses. For the lehmen browsing, the ability to zoom is swapped with massive increased quality, look up sample footage on Youtube from Canon 50mm Lenses.

Just bought my second prime, an 85mm and it's just SO clear. Artsy almost. Just reminded me to drop back in.
 
If you are using a camera for vlogs where you will film yourself from your hand, I would suggest a very popular choice; the GoPro.

Light, well sized, easily adaptable to many mounts, quality built, quality visuals, above average mic, I believe it would be best for vlogs as you can just about fit it in your pocket (which I do not recommend).
 
Canon t5i + 50mm lens + Rode mic

It's an affordable setup and produces some quality content.
