If anyone of you is doing vlogs to expand your business what are some of the cameras you have tried and what are the ones you have liked. Additionally, what are any other gadgets that you might need along with it.

Camera: Panasonic GH3 with Panasonic 12-35mm lens. Amazing video quality.

Built in mics are always bad, so a shotgun mic and or lavalier mics are a must.

A good tripod comes in handy, I am using a Manfrotto tripod with video head (the top mount part moves fluidly so that you can have smooth camera movement with it). It is extremely sturdy, and will probably last me 10+ years.

Hey,

Its a bit expensive, can you suggest any a bit cheaper?
 
I'm using a Panasonic HC-750K and I love the quality, big step up from my webcam. I use a USB mic (Audio Technica AT2020+) because I'm usually next to a computer when I'm recording. If you wanted something more portable you could try a Zoom H4N, I hear a lot of good things about it.
 
I have used from iPhones to 7d's. With the iphone sound is an issue but given how cheap mics are you can always overdub or plug it in while live recording.

In terms of Canon's, they go 5D III < 5D II > 7D > 650/550D > Wouldn't go any further than that if you're looking HD. Your Lens means much more but a good 50m Prime and a 550 and you'll get some gorgeous quality, just don't use the tech as an excuse not to succeed.
 
I am planning for Nikon L830, D5100, 3100 or Canon EOS 1200D but everything confused me. Make sure to check the quality of the video.
 
Canon 7D with a 50mm lens on - And a lavalier mic to audio recording.
 
Full-frame DSLR's are the best option in this situation. I currently have a Canon 60D that's been getting the job done for me recently, but you need to work with lighting/post-editing in the right form if you're going to be really successful with Vlogging.

The thing I've found is that it's somewhat of a saturated market, everybody is used to the entire "hey look I'm quirky and use jump-cuts, check out my cats too!" ordeal. To each his own though, just make sure your camera is a DSLR and FULL-FRAMED!

As for anything, depends on your budget... not the same if you've got a 100 - 400 budget or a xxxx one.
Just look for anything 1080hd; nikkon has some VERY affordable and VERY nice models. For around $200 you can get a pretty neat one. Pics+video ofc.
 
If you want something cheaper try Canon EOS M. Really great video quality for its price.
 
I started off with a flip cam and began focusing on sound first. I've found that most people can excuse bad video quality, but they need the sound to be good, so I got an h4n zoom mic and used that with the flip cam. Right now I've switched to a 600D and bought a bunch of lenses to go with it.

GH3 is great though ! I used them in one of my films.
 
I'm also in the market for a camera. I've heard the Canon DSLR's are really good.
