Review related service rules
The following rules apply to all business review services (e.g., Google My Business, Trustpilot, Facebook, etc.), including ORM services.
- Due to changes in the recent UK law, Marketplace listings, ads, and promotions for fake or undisclosed incentivised reviews (e.g., Trustpilot, Amazon, Google) are no longer allowed. Legitimate reputation management, genuine customer review outreach, and compliant review tools remain permitted.
- These changes do NOT mean that all review‑related activity is banned.
- The following remain acceptable, provided they are clearly and honestly represented:
- Online Reputation Management (ORM)
- Outreach to real, existing customers for genuine feedback
- Review management tools or software
- Reputation strategy services
- Processes inline with review service terms.
- Customer follow‑up systems encouraging honest reviews
- The key test is simple:
- If a review is genuine and not misleading, it may be allowed.
- If it is fake or disguises incentivisation, it is not.
- The full announcement and greater details can be found here.
Virtual credit cards (VCC) / Virtual bank accounts (VBA)
- VCCs and VBAs must not use personal details or the stolen identity of any real individual. Any form of identity theft, whether direct or indirect, will lead to immediate rejection of your service and possible sanctions. All card or account data used must be fully legitimate and legally obtained.
- All VCCs and VBAs must be preloaded with the amount advertised in your top-level package. For example, if your highest package offers a $50 VCC, the card provided for review must be loaded with that full amount. Under no circumstances should the card have a partial balance or limited access.
- Review procedure
- As part of the verification process, we will test the VCC by making a real purchase or transaction on one of the websites you advertise as compatible. This ensures that your service functions as described and that the card is accepted where you claim it is.
- Cards or accounts that fail verification, are non-functional, or show inconsistencies between the advertised and actual functionality may result in disapproval of your thread or further review of your service.
- Important
- The funds used during the review will not be refunded or returned, nor can you reclaim them after the review in any form.
- Please ensure that the amount in your top-level package is an amount you are comfortable with being used during the testing process.
Virtual assistants rules
- Virtual assistants will be required to demonstrate the advertised competency.
- VAs cannot be forced to be VAs. In other words, any human rights violations will not be tolerated.
SMS / virtual number rules
- Legally obtained
- All numbers must be legally obtained and not associated with accounts that have been stolen, hacked, or used without authorization.
- State exclusivity
- You must clearly state whether your numbers are shared, semi-dedicated, or fully dedicated. Misrepresenting the level of exclusivity or reuse of numbers is considered misleading and will lead to thread rejection.
- Reliability and speed
- Service reliability and delivery speed must match your advertised standards. Buyers should not experience unreasonable delays or non-functional delivery systems.
- Prohibited use
- Numbers that are pre-linked to existing accounts, used for spam, or tied to illegal registrations are strictly forbidden
Email lists rules
- Origin
- All email lists must have a verified origin. They cannot be obtained through hacking or any illegal means.
- Claims
- Any claims, such as a low bounce rate, must be verified.
BHW Profile - Sales thread fields ("About" section) rules
- Clarification
- The section we're referring to is accessible in the "Account details" section of a seller's profile and visible under the "About" tab on their profile.
- Rules
- Sellers are permitted to sell their "About" slots (either as a group or individually).
- All related sales threads must be submitted in the "Misc" subforum.
- All Marketplace rules and content standards apply to these types of sales threads without any exceptions.
- The offer must have its own dedicated sales thread and may not be included in any of your other sales threads.
- Pricing must be explicit and reasonable (remember that the links are only shown on the About section and nowhere else). Staff will be the arbiter of this.
