The Best Way To Learn SEO

Make sure everything is properly tagged and meta tagged makes it alot easier for google bots to index. Always link back to the home page and anchor any text through to other relevant pages. On page optimization is also important. I have climbed 30 places in the rankings from just optimizing on page

Read, Learn, Implement

Trial, Test, and trial again...

But none of this data is any good unless you have first created 'something', - 'anything'.

You can only learn so much from people telling you something, but when you are in the "doing" phase, you learn at tenfold, especially as you fail. Outsource as little as possible until you know what YOU are doing... it is then easy to have someone else do it for you and the way you want it too.

Read this website - it's free and has a lot of good advice seo and otherwise. The articles were always popular as well as the concepts.

It is awesome if it can help motivate anyone!

I see gold nuggets all the time in BHW... so hang out a bit while learning.

Never give up until your site is on the first page for your keyword.

It's very possible-you just have to stay consistent with your link backs along with social advertising and getting SE authority

He means that you don't want to submit to ALL of them. It's best to get a good 20 in (the top ones with strong authority) to link to you.

This will boost your site's authority big time.

You may submit often however (my opinion)

I've heard that from some marketing "gurus" but have yet to see any real facts on it. Squidoo was first devalued in 2007... many searches still show it in the top.

Don't quit... In my early days it quit on web projects that would have become giants had I just not quit from being bored or lazy. I had the first music review website on the graphical web (optimized for NCSA Mosaic)... I just let it go in 92 to work on other things... Time and persistence are the most important factors.

I definitely agree.

About Squidoo---

They are still very powerful. I am working on a new Squidoo myself that will renew life in all your products and dreams lol.

Til then- squidoo is still great. Also review websites for products are great. Link build with Social Sites and Articles :)

Join a "make money" membership/coaching site where the method centers around site building and SEO, and have a track record of successful members.

Memberships that focus on building niche content sites that make $x per day are good.

In terms of reading, try to learn to basics very well. If you know how PageRank works you can quickly work out why certain Squidoo tricks work. And you can create your own.

Too many people learn tricks but they don't know how to make their own. Sometimes you need to.

The best, most advanced SEO guide I know for mastering basic SEO is free: SEO Fast Start by Dan Thies.

These are the best tips I have :).

Totally true. You have to build a strong base and use the resources around you to put together an unbelievable source of SEO

I'm teaching a guy how to program and the method I am using works well and seems to somewhat apply here: Change something, see what breaks, fix it, now you understand what that part did.

He asked me about the "learn xxx in 24 hours" books, I laughed and told him it's more like "learn xxx in 24 years"

You just have to get out there and fail your ass off until it clicks in your head :)

Best tip I can give for some quick results:

If you are going for a geographic keyword e.g. dog walkers in New York, submit your website to google maps with the keywords dog walker and put it in new york, then do a bit of link building to the google maps link - 5 links should do and you can get no 1. position in google for a competitive keyword very easily!

I don't know why it looks so easy for u to get traffic so easy. I used to rewrite articles and submit them to 100+ article directories, and put social bookmarking pluging in my blog.

I spent so much time submitting articles, but the result is almost zero. 4 months of work, and only 20 visitors per day, and it' not constant traffic.

Where can I learn the real SEO tips?

It is expensive, but go to SEMPO.org and buy their online Advanced SEO course for $1200. That and BHW is all you need to be successful.
