Hello

Im interested in finding some low competition keywords.

Before i get started i were wondering if there were any smart tools out there to help me find keywords?

If any of you out there has any tool premium or free. Please post it!

Hey,

I use Keyword Planner, SEMRush, Ahrefs and Majestic. Basically, I use the SEO difficulty from SEMRush as a first indicator, and if I really want to know how hard a keyword is I simply check the backlinks of the top5 competitors.

SEMrush is the way to go. You can reverse engineer what the competition is ranking for as well. I've had great success using it in combination with the KW planner.

I recently started using SECockpit which seems pretty cool so far.

Try keywordsnatcher.org, it is best for less competitive long tail keywords.

I use SEMRockets Keyword Finder. I find it highly accurate & delivers some outstanding keyword ideas.

I see no one mentioned keyword revealer, it's a web-based tool with 3 searches a day for free. It suggests good keywords with local and global monthly searches and also cpc. After you chose some keywords that fit you, go to SEMrush and double-check.

I have tried almost every tool on the market, there are some tools that will make your life easier or automate parts of your research but the best way to both learn what works and find the easiest keywords to rank for is by doing some manual research.

Once you understand the process fully, you can look at the tools available and see which one will ease your efforts the most.
