Today I thought I'd try to be helpful and to try and give back a little (even if it's over something relatively basic) and write a guide on spinning text. I'll be using the curly bracket ({}'s) format, the most common one by my standards.
Along the way, you can enter any of the text in CODE tags into an online spinner such as http://www.uniquecontentspinner.com/ to see how they work or a program like Power Article Rewriter (available int he Member's Downloads section.)
In case you're unaware and clicked this topic by accident, the act of spinning text means to add a bit of randomness to it by allowing the program you're using, such as a WordPress Comment Spammer like UCWS or Scrapebox, to have something different to say each time.
For example, take a look at the following bit of text.

That's right, it's as simple as typing {word 1|word 2}. You put the list of words in curly braces and then use a | as a seperator. Keep in mind that what you enter will exactly show up. For example:

You can also, depending on the tool you're using, employ nested brackets. For example:

That's it. You've just completed Text Spinning 101. Now here's the primer on Text Spinning 102. (In other words, here's how to effectively employ spinnable text.)
When you're using spinnable text, you either have one of two objectives. (1) You want to say the same thing multiple times or (2) you want to say something not-spammy multiple times.
(2) is the point I'll specifically cater to. When you spin text, remember that you not only can say "I love ..." but you can also take the complete opposite stance and say "I hate ..." or "I don't really like ..." or even "I can't stand ..." Doing this can boost your approval rate, for example, when you comment on moderated blogs. I've gotten several authors to even reply to me. And don't take this just at face level, make sure to play around with pronouns. "He is tired." and "She is tired." are two completely possible spins.
There's another (major) point that needs to be addressed when it comes to article spinning: Article uniqueness. Roughly, this describe show different one spin of your article is from another. Ultimately, it stems from how many variations your spinnable text has. In oher words, you need to add as many (readable) spins to your text as possible in order to get a decent uniqueness and avoid the banhammer from things like Akismet.
Lastly, some tips for spinning success.

- If you're stumped on how to rewrite something, start form scratch. Compare what your originally wrote and see how it's different. This is how I increase the uniqueness from one piece of spinnable text.
- Never discount the fact that you can spin text WITH errors in it. Just make sure that they are human errors, such as misspellings and whatnot. Just don't expect "Idrove SIXTEEN MILES to Arizona State because I YELLOW DOG" to fly unless you're spamming a Schizophrenia forum (or something?)
- When you enter an anchor tag, remember that you're entering text that will be converted to html. In other words, you can spin your anchors. Remember this, as it can be a great improvement over having the same anchor text listed at the end of your article or paragraph over 7000 sites.
- Before you commit to a piece of spun text, spin it about 50 times. This is to ensure that there's not an error or something you've missed. This can help your endeavors in the land of spinning tremendously.
