If you're living in the city there's lots of great Internet connection options available, more exotic and remote islands coverage isn't as good.

Hospitals like Bangkok Hospital are top notch, just make sure you buy travel insurance (less than 6 mo) or from BUPA or similar company in Thailand if staying longer. Make sure to check on their hospital network as some shittier insurance plans will send you to crappy hospitals and not a top tier network, don't cheap out on it.

Thai people are incredibly friendly and learning the language will go a long way to furthering the enjoyment of your stay, I highly recommend learning it.

Kasikorn Bank, Bangkok Bank, and Krungsri Bank will all open accounts for tourists BUT you will have to hit a bunch of branches to have success. Just hit the pavement and keep trying, eventually you'll find branches/people who will open accounts for you. Kasikorn has an online shopping prepaid CC available as well which is sweet, and those 3 banks all work fine with Paypal.

What city are you planning on moving to? Huge bonus is flights anywhere in the country are REALLY cheap, there's a lot of amazing places to explore.

Cambodia is great, but be aware that healthcare in Cambodia is very poor comparing to Thailand.

Yes, very nice city to live in if you don't mind extreme pollution and humidity. The nearest beach is 130 km away tho.

IMO Better idea is to live in Pattaya (large city, but not so good beaches) or Hua Hin (small city with nice beaches) , both are 2-3 hours drive from Bangkok and come to Bangkok whenever you want.

Dont get caught up with drugs in thailand, my friend got caught with a gram of crack and he is serving a life time sentence ( the embassy is trying to get him back to his home country ) but it is rather difficult as its been going on for 5 years now.

The best advice someone can give you is to go there yourself and check it out.

Go for a month. Have a return ticket, go back to your home country and if after that Thailand is still appealing to you then consider moving there.

There's really no amount of recommendations that come close to you experiencing it in real life.

Thailand can be cheap, but it can also be very expensive, that's the same with pretty much any where though. Bangkok is a very exciting place, but you might get sick of it after a while. Chiang Mai (in the North) is nice and probably a better solution longer term. Most the built up beach regions are kinda ruined from tourism. Places like Koh Samui or Phuket. Maybe you like that type of thing though.

Either way, best thing is to go check it out for yourself before making any serious commitments. You'll thank yourself later for doing it that way.

Visa wise the best solution is the most expensive (of course). They have some VIP thing where you pay x thousand of dollars for a full access 5 year visa. No stupid visa runs or problems at the airport.

1000 Mbps for $20 a month I believe. And we are in the EU, so I'm sure we have plenty of laws relating to Internet marketing.

If you like cars, don't come to Romania. Our roads are fucking awful and make driving a nightmare

Isn't it only some providers in certain locales the 1Gbps connection and even then the residential one(the one everyone is talking about)is much lower for connections outside of Romania?

Probably, although I'm sure most of the capital (Bucharest) is covered by it, at least that's been my experience.

And yeah connections to outside Romania suffer.

I would never recommend someone moving here. There are plenty of nicer countries with fast enough Internet. You'll be pretty sick of it here after 6 months, believe me

Bulgaria it's for the people over 40 years, no offence.
The beach it's ok...but that's all

the summer it's only 2-3 months/year

straight up is too dangerous. ive seen roads like this from the andes to tibet. ive seen straight ones. they are just too dangerous. prefer zigzag ones myself. both driving, walking, cycling etc.. it is a matter of safety
