People friendly, everything cheap.
The police here is stupid as fuck. You can even buy them with money.
For paypal, you need to have bank account here.
The internet is good.

What's about the schools/hospitals?
Weed is legal?? easy to get?

In Thailand police is friendly with locals only. There are a lot of schools and hospitals and you need fluent Thai to use it.

Police in thai always think the;re good or something.

Go food shop, and the shop must cook faster, or else the owner need to go to the jail.

This happen in front of my eyes. LOL

Abuse power as fukkkk. Not to mention, corruption.

From immigration, police, custom, all will fuk your wallet upside down.

I'll try to find a place where I'll have IM'ers as neighbors...Phuket should be okay? :D

What do you mean by good internet? Is it just good local speeds or can you get also good speeds to datacenters in Europe and America?

Weed can get you killed in thailand man!
Like in most south east asian countries!

Death penalty at very low amount!

For the most part, Thailand is safe. The only crime against Farangs (Foreigners) is being overcharged for things, and that is mainly in the south. Violent crime isn't something to worry about

The police don't bother you, but if you they do, you can bribe them. I literally bribed myself out of a DUI my 5 night after i moved here.

The hospitals are cheap, same with Dentists...I have never been to the hospital here though.

Schools... Are you planning on going to school here?

For a Thai Paypal Account, you need to have a Thai bank account. They are very hard for people on tourist visa to acquire. I personal have one through my girlfriend and i was able to set up Paypal with it.

Internet is good, Free at most places for patrons, and you can get a TrueMove H or AIS Data plan for your phone and it includes unlimited wifi. The hotspots for these companies are basically everywhere there is mass population

Do it man. Pack your shit up and come, or better yet... get rid of your shit and come.

Hit me up on Skype if you need anything. I'm in Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai is the area you will find most location independent people working. Phuket is nice though. Just be on the lookout for people ripping you off. they even rip Thai people off. It's a way of life in that area.

I rented a motorbike, one of 125cc honda "sport bikes" (if you can even call it that) and i crashed it. the lady tried to charge me 35,000THB ($9000 USD at the time) for a broken fairing. I had to go to the tourist police to get them to come and save me. Ended up having to pay roughly $250, and i was still ripped off because it was fixed in a day for 5,000 THB and they charged me 10 days bike rental for the repair.

Police can be as currupt as fuck, be prepared to pay cash bribes on regular basis.
Hostpitals & doctors there are plenty, but get good health insurance.
Cost of living is cheap, internet is good, fast download speeds / connections.

Monsoon season can be a pain, with power cuts from time to time.
Food is very good, fresh fruit and veg etc, really nice curry.

Serious word of warning is don't cross the locals, as you'll end up not pissing off one bloke, but his family and friends will all turn up to deal with you. Road rage can end up with knife fights as an example.
It's a nice place ( depending where you decide to go to ) but keep alert and you'll be fine.

I've been here:

Was nice.

Police are friendly, all (nearly all) can be bribed if you get into trouble. Internets fast in most towns. People are friendly but most speak fuk all english outside the cities.

Think people exaggerate about how strict they are over weed, you won't be getting killed for a couple of grams lol. Plus I don't think most of the police know what it smells like anyway. I smoked loads there, no fuks given

What's about pricing? Because everybody says is cheap, but how much do u spend in a month (including everything)? :)

Chiang mai is cheaper, phuket, bangkok are too touristy. In chiang mai I spent about:
200$ a month rent
300$ on food eating out/street food all the time
100$ for a coworking place
spent about $1500 going out tbh but was getting smashed 3-4 times a week, could live quite well on $1000 easily enough, its a lot cheaper if you book a apartment for a month otherwise hotel will be $10-20 a night. Beer is $1-2, street food less than $1, decent restaurants anything from $2-5. Not sure how much the weed was supposed to be, I was probably getting 'ripped off' but paid $10 and got a nice sized bag of 5 grams or so of decent stuff.
Depends what you'll be doing, if you want to get drunk a fair bit then Cambodia was a lot cheaper going out
