Just thought id toss my $.02 in to this thread, Any type of spamming whether its email or text messaging is a bad idea, if your considering it, just pay someone to do it for you, that way you dont take the heat when the feds show up at the house. You'll get busted so quick. Besides for the money you'll make/benefits you recieve, isnt worth the fines you could pay. There was a kid in the news I just read about online, He was sending out email advertisements and some of the emails he sent ads to were "honey pots" and they were just random emails the gov't made to catch spammers, and ya the feds showed up at his house. besides CAN-SPAM is like $11,000 per violation if they catch you, not including the possibility of getting sued or facing criminal charges. I'd rather do other Blackhat stuff...

Three more quick thoughts ...

1. This stuff with bluetooth belts are a killer tactic for thouse who walks around all day and hand out flyers. They could deliver 20-30 bluetoothflyers pr min in stead of bothering everyone around with their "paper notes" ... lol ...

2. Or just imagine the effect this bluetooth belt would have on any stand trying to sell something on the street...
And how easy wouldn't it be to pitch someone? "Hey, did you just get a message on your phone?"

3. Promoting your brand new webshop portal with a lot of products on it.
You sit in a public coffee shop sipping coffee with your bluetooth belt turned on for sending vCal's!
Slogan: "Promotion without lifting more than a finger...(to dring coffee)" lol

yes this one would be cool if someone can share this, but the question is where do you get targeted # to send. I don't want to send mass amount of text to old ladies with cell phones who happen to be playing late not bingo

The way that the software looks it seems to be a hit or miss type deal with the mailer you can up load your own numbers wich is cool but where to get those numbers is a diffrent story

i have the text mailer but i purchased it, my friend the is owner of this software, i can get you 50% off but lets just not give it away, they offer a 40% affiliate program so you can make some great money promoting it. I'm making about $500 a week

I paid $97 to some clown by the name of Ken Reno who sells a program to do this He calls it textmyreaders and has a .com by that name. His program is a double optin with an autoresponder tied to it so people can't claim it is spam.

His program forced me to go through PayPal to pay but I don't have a paypal account anymore. The program demands some kind of number from Paypal to work and I didn't get one back even though I paid so the program don't work for that reason. Then you have to set up a cron job and that reports that there is no input file for it to work with.

I had one heck of a time trying to get him to help me get it to work. I did some really nasty posts on some forums he hangs out on and even set up a kenreno-thetruth blog exposing him. He has some other people that aren't too happy with him either and they have contacted me about him as well.

He sent me a nasty email yesterday telling me how he is going to sue me in federal court for slander because I put his picture and a picture of his shabby little house on the blog. He is so stupid he don't know he can't sue me for putting his publicly posted picture on the blog and his house is from google maps.

I told him all he has to do is fix the program I paid for which he agreed to do by email. That was Friday. Today is Sunday and he still hasn't fixed the program. So if anybody can tell me how to come up with a number from PayPal that will work and how to fix the input file to the cron job I sure would appreciate it.

If he won't fix it and I can't get some help to make it work the only other option I have is to ruin him on the net which I can do very easily.

Can anybody help? The program seems good and it's double optin feature eliminates the spam problem. I just need to get it working before I have to go to the time and trouble to run a flame war against him.

About the mobile gateways: there is software that you can use to connect your mobile phone to your computer and make it act as a gateway. The software catches all the incoming sms and mms messages and forward them to a script that you write in, let's say, php. You could store the phone number to a database and then use those numbers for advertising.. and to get users send you the first message you just have to offer them some good free information. All you pay is the cost of an sms

The phone number would be yours, so you could buy an interesting number easy to remember.. I did something like this and it works fine, sms is the fastest way of getting some information nowadays, we always have out cellphones by us.

The software I'm using is NowSMS (http://www.nowsms.com/) but there are many others as well.

that is a blatant challenge...

yes i have , me and my friend acctually programmed a mass SMS tool and you would set the vaulue and the Carrier we did a text run of about 1000 txts and had around 10-20 ringtone conversions. the txter above doesnt really work all that well i have tried it, has some bugs, took us 20 min to code this app and was fully working and you could set the txts to random and had some pretty nice addons for it,

but anyways This method has a great risk of getting sued ive seen many people get sued from this method and they are really cracking down on this.

lol nobody has my product and if they did i wouldnt sell it, it would be for free. and quit spamming btw. just google it verison has been cracking down on this theres posts all about it. i know your using SMTP servers to send the messages

I thought that marketing on the cell phones was off limits due to rights and stuff

man I've gotten one of these txts before kinda threw me for a loop like a sucker :hahaha: lol but then it just pissed me off when i saw the whole prono deal....:1:
