Can someone tell me the name of this trend, I want to learn more about it.

The text following a curve and ending on a higher plane.

It is just text on a curve in photoshop / illustrator.

Sure but I want to know what Agencies are promoting this, focus group info etc.

You mean the name of the agencies who do the design work for the labour party and sainsburys in the uk?

I just want to know why this trend has come out of nowhere and why it is working so well that Sainsburys would use it for their massive spend campaign and Labour would put it literally on the front cover of their manifesto.

It must have been focus grouped to death.

It has not come from nowhere it has been around for years.

OK, do you have any info on this because what i'm trying to get is why consumers are reacting so positively towards it.

This is just my opinion on it, but that styling makes Sainsbury's look more jovial and old-fashioned. For the Labour Party, it looks like a wavy flag.

To be honest, people react unthinkable to a lot of styles. I'm not a fan of either of those myself. But as someone already said, definitely fits the image it's set in.

Furthermore, nostalgic vintage / retro logo design as been on the rise in recent years, 2019 as well.

just load above illustrator there all in it all them font styles.

you can even but font styles or download them and add to the app.

Nice.

What I mean is there must be some psychological reason why consumers are reacting to this, in the same way they react to smiley face logos and i'm just trying to find out more on it. I 100% do not believe that the big 4 ad agencies just throw stuff against the wall, there must be a paper on this somewhere but I haven't come across one yet.
