Testing: Syndicating articles for easy web 2.0 content.

Adam, how many other articles (non related to money site) are you putting on your Web 2.0 sites? Are you just putting up the 1 syndicated article by itself or are you adding others to make it look natural? If not, are you worried your Web 2.0s will get deleted bc of only having 1 article? Thanks for sharing your results.

Just 1 syndicated article. I'm making the web 2's with a static front page so they don't look like a blog, but more like a simple website.

The best advice I can give you on tiered link building is try and keep it do f0llow. A no follow link is a useless link (in my opinion).

I copy one of my articles in my money site & post it 10 times in different web 2's and then I build links to those web 2's.

I have the same question.
All this post seems pretty amazing, but it would make perfect sense if it end up working, I mean, if our content is aleady idexed in Google, we could try to repost it in 2.0 Webs with huge amount of users like Squidoo, Hub Pages, etc. just to promote our website.
I could try using my website's name as an anchor, so it even looks more natural. The idea behind this technique, would be to pass some good linkjuice, if our website has a good internal linking, chances are that our keywords will end up rising in the SERPS due to DA and PA.
If our content is high quality, it wouldn't be strange if it would end up being used by other persons.
Hope to see how this amazing experiment ends.

From my point of view, is when you build links to your 1st tier from every available platform, it will gain PA thus it will be passed to the money site.
So the whole thing is in building links to the first tier. not making the page and forgetting it, it won't help if it doesn't have authority (links pointed at it)

Thanks for reminding me of this test. I guess the latest update did not affect the method used in this study.
I have not done any link-building to the test website/client since this case study, and the rankings only dropped a few spots for the keywords I was targeting (1 to 2 spots to be more exact) - He still gets traffic and business from the work done.

Update:
This is the only place where I'm going to talk about penguin 3.0 results!
After 3.0 rolled out on the 18th, the rankings for the aforementioned website were effected very slightly:
The SERP rank for my main keyword previously moved up to #2 (I didnt post an update about that here). After P3.0 it moved down 2 spots, but was replaced with not-so-relevant pages, which is a good thing because when the users see that they don't get what they want from those pages, I'm next down the list.
The SERP position for the second main keyword moved down 3 spots, but this time 2 competitors are now above me.
A handful of other keywords saw random increases and decreases among them, but nothing in the realm of being penalized.
According this this study, as well as other websites that I deal with, It's safe to say that P3.0 was not a big hit to high quality web 2's.
Keep in mind that I only syndicated my own content, and not content from other websites within my niche.

Adam, all the web 2.0 sites only have 1 article (syndicated one time from your site) and you don't add new articles to web 2.0 because they are designed in such a way they look like a static site instead of a blog. So I assume these web 2.0 sites do not need more than 1 article. Am I right?

You could make an original website, and link each page back to itself in each individual posts. Then once you have built and completed the site, say on wordpress or blogger etc, you can simply export your entire blog, and then import it into a new blog with a single file in about a minute or two.
So each page on each new page of each new blog will link back to the original with the anchor text you want. Ive had no issues exporting and importing 25K+ page sites in about 5 minutes on most free webhosts. Darned scrapers!

Yes, they're setup as static websites to have the look and feel of an informational site and not a blog. 1 article per website. No additional links per inner pages.
Also I'll add that I do create an About us and Contact page to these web 2's. The About Us page contains 2-3 generic sentences and the contact us page contains a contact form via plugin. I'm pretty sure Google understands that reputable websites usually have these pages somewhere on their websites so better safe than sorry.

I briefly thought about using importing/exporting within wordpress to expedite it, but didn't get too far into it. Won't it also export the same article though?
