Testing Affiliate Link Conversions

I want to test out my affiliate link to make sure that it actually converts of first-page submit because the last campaign I ran, my link redirected to a completely irrelevant offer and I missed out on a lot of money. How can I test my link to make sure that it actually converts? I am using Maxbounty and Peerfly by the way. I have heard of using a VPN and using public computers but wanted see if there was any other input.

Just to be clear, I only want to test my link to ensure it converts without getting banned, I have no intention of affiliate fraud or anything of that nature.

Just one question: Are you promoting offers from your country? Because that redirection your experienced could easily have happened because of location mismatch. If you promote an offer from a different country than what you reside in, when you click the url (and you don't spoof your ip address), you get redirected to your country specific offer, if there's none for your country then to an international one. If it's the case and the offers didn't convert too well, they are either shitty offers or you have low quality traffic.

If there's no preview option on the network you're using, to test an offer you can try a proxy or a VPN from the same country where the offer is from, start to fill it out, but don't actually submit it.

If it's a one page offer, that should convert. You can check the all time conversion stats, actual popularity of any offer on your network. If an offer is popular and/or has a high conversion rate, you can be sure it converts, you don't have to check it yourself.

With email submits there's always some shaving going on, you need to calculate with that too. You won't get credited for every valid submits, otherwise it wouldn't be profitable for the advertiser. So even if you fill the offer out yourself and you see no conversion, that won't prove a thing. It could have happened because of shaving or it could have happened because of the network recognized that you're using a proxy/VPN.

Normally if you fill an offer out like that for testing purposes, it shouldn't cause any trouble, but as the guy said it above, you can always talk to your AM. That would be the best course of action.

A stupid question though,
Just see the EPC of last 7 days of the campaign. Can you see any numbers?
these numbers are here to tell you not to self punch leads using VPN.

if there is $1.00 or $0.001 that's mean offer is converting. For more information contact your AM.

Why would you ask this? it is not accepted that publisher complete action himself for testing campaign converting or not. There are several parameters to check this. Simply reach to your account manager and ask the current EPC of offer.

I mean, your AM could tell you if it really does convert on submit. Those guys are normally impartial as they don't have anything to gain by misleading you.

Your offer is redirected to another campaign for several reasons. First of all, you are using wrong location or device, some advertisers block access from VPN and proxy too.
Secondly, you must have out of daily cap (budget) for the offer.
And finally, your source can be blocked by advertiser for fraud delivered previously.
Just check if the offer is opening and ask your AM if it's converting now. None of the AMs would give broken offer. It's useless to lose money with broken offers.
