We have run test case for two very similar sites and at the end we have almost ten times more visitors on one site vs another
The idea was to test how Google might separate (and thus add different value) between what they call "naturally" placed links vs "artificially" (or spammy) links.
We setup two very similar websites and used rankwyz news aggregation to populate sites with digest type content. then we build Tier 1 network for each site, about 100 blogs each building RSS syndication content to create backlinks.
At the end we have almost ten times more visitors on one of the site.. watch video to see what was the difference between two sites.
