Humidity is going away some and I need to stop being so cheap and get legit camera.
I think it's fine. I've always been a bigger fan of the amateur shots over the professional shots. It actually captures a moment, rather than the photographer taking 100s to get the "perfect shot."

We get alligators now and then but they just pass through and are only here for a week or so.

On the flip side, if you go out back sometimes you come across this kind of guy.

I'm with you... I don't go near them even if they are not dangerous.
What kind of snake is that? The only snakes we have around here are Garter snakes, good for keep mice and other rodents in check.On the flip side, if you go out back sometimes you come across this kind of guy.

I think my wife said it was a black racer... we have them on the property and see them pretty often.
The closest I ever came to one was when I opened the front door and one was slithering across the step.
I closed the door quickly.

This! There is something incredibly soothing about unedited shots. They maybe grainy pictures taken from a phone (P.S - Contrary to popular belief, a lot of the newer phones suck at low light shots as well - despite what the makers would like you to believe.) or a DSLR shot like the one @Sherbert Hoover posted above. It makes you want to go back and take a second look at the picture.
As a kid, I'd see posters of starry sunsets and marvel at how the photographer managed to capture the perfect hue - with the perfect purple top fading into a perfect gradience with the perfect pink, which then melted into the perfect tangerine that gradually turned into a perfect cantaloupe. All this set against a perfect silhouette of a lone tree on a hill with a very gentle but perfect slope.
This delusion of mine was quickly shattered when, many years ago, I discovered Photoshop and read my first photo editing tutorial.
Been a fan of amateur shots ever since.
