Temporary Reddit Front Page Link & Boost to Website Stats

Got a nice boost today from reddit I think, as I have a ton of new website visitors on mobile, with many of them coming from there.

Just shows you that you have to have a VPS in today's age, as this site would have 404'd on a shared hosting.

I guess some of your posts were upvoted to the front page. Reddit frontpage usually results in massive traffic. I've never gotten there. Even large sub frontpage also drives good traffic.

Still blasting away, lol i dont have too many exit links for my affiliate ads, as it seems to be mostly mobile traffic, have to give it another 24 hours.

Found the reddit post though, and its just a random comment, from an account with a few thousand karma, in an unrelated subreddit, lol
 
There could be some factors:
Daily/weekly context: Your comment was placed in a post which just became popular today or this week.

or

Daily/weekly context: The old post was crossposted in a popular sub, and that is the source of your traffic.

If you could somehow replicate that, you could get a ton of visitors.

Nice little boost. Have you read the post, are you able to give it a little boost or maybe replicate it to get another boost?

I've found Reddit really clique-y with most subbed modded by censorious gatekeepers. It's tough to gain traction quickly unless you have a mod in your favour.
