Does anyone know what to do to get to the top of Telegram searches?

Even if you use a group created in 2016, it won't get ranked first.

The group currently in first place has fewer posts and fewer members.

If a low-member, low-activity group ranks higher than yours, it might have better keyword optimization, external traffic, or some unknown Telegram ranking factor

Telegram's search algorithm is still very simple, it's stuck at the level of search engines of 2010. Specifically the algorithm of the former Twitter is used there.
The search takes into account the total number of words in the group, channel, the total number of people who used these words, the rate of growth of reactions to posts in which these words occur and the age of posts with these words. That's it. No other factors are taken into account.

And yes - be careful about trying to recruit these factors. There is an anti-spam algorithm, which knows what words as often and in what amount on average occur, if the words go beyond these limits, the group and the person will be blocked, either explicitly, or the channel will fall into the shadow ban (nothing you will not say, but in the search you will never appear again)

If it is channel - make posts every day and order goood quality views on panels, views that will be visible in statistic
if it is group - only activity the more people write in the chat, the more messages they write, the better
