Hello! Does someone know a way to identify username in Telegram by phone number? I have a list of phone numbers and need to find these people in Telegram. Most of them hide phone number so it's not possible to find them

not.always possible as some phone numbers do not have user.name attached on telegram

there is no reliable or legitimate way to find a Telegram username by phone number if the user has hidden their number.

What does work (limited cases)​

1. Contacts sync (only if allowed by user)​

• If you save the phone number to your phone contacts
• And the Telegram user allows “Who can find me by my number = Everybody / My Contacts”
• Then Telegram may show their profile (username or name)

If they set:

• Nobody → you will NOT find them
• My Contacts → only if your number is also saved in their phone

2. Mutual groups​

If you:

• Join the same Telegram group
• And they post or appear in member list

You can see:

Of course, this is possible and even quite easy to do. If the user doesn't have privacy settings that only allow their contacts to find them via their phone number, then this will work. Experience shows that only about 20% of users have privacy settings enabled. You won't be able to add someone to your contacts and find their number. Your account must be in the user's contacts. There are programs based on the Telethon library that will allow you to parse numbers.
