Hello guys!
I am pretty new to IG so there may be some stupid questions.

So I started designing T-Shirts, because I have done the design part as a hobby for some friends (AppDesign, Music Cover Design etc). And I thought why not make some money with it.

I Signed Up to Amazon Merch and got accepted after 3 days. But amazon needs to accept every design so this can take a while.
To speed up my "business" I also signed up to Teespring. And set up a Instagram account to post some of my designs and promote my shop.

I've been using Gramblr to get some more likes on my posts and that works. But no legit likes or even sold a shirt.
The problem is that I am pretty broke a the moment and cant afford any advertisement on IG. So the only way I try to reach customers is through hastags. But still legit hashtags.

Is there any other way? Or can you give me some advise to make this successful?

Thanks alot!

I would suggest you to get a bot (gmt2 is the cheapest one, $10/mo). Create some accounts and get some cheap proxies, I think you can get 10 proxies for $5. Now, grow accounts by following the followers of big IG accounts which are selling t-shirts and other stuff. If it doesn't work out for you, you can later sell these accounts. IMO if you do everything right, and use your head to think outside the box, you will start making money. And remember, if you have good content/designs on your IG acc. I think people will buy from you. Also, create a FB page. FB is way bigger than IG. :) Good luck mate, and let us know when you make money. :)

manually follow 500 people a day
Well that would be a simple way. Didnt consider that

Yeah I totally forgot about FB! Didnt know FB would still be bigger than IG. I will keep you guys updated!

My suggestion would be to switch from TeeSpring to RedBubble. Why? Simple. SEO.

Redbubble ranks way better on Google for T Shirt related search queries than TeeSpring. So that means RedBubble gets way more traffic with actual buying intent than TeeSpring. For example, searching 'GI Joe T Shirt' on Google gives RedBubble as the first result. So if your design is GI Joe related and shows up in RedBubble, you'll get free organic sales from Google. You actually don't even have to worry too much about IG or Fb or any other form of promotion.

Cheers and Good luck!

Dont listen to that guy.
If your budget is small run far away from seo lol

Ha ha I understand that SEO can be expensive, but what I actually meant was that OP can piggyback on RedBubble's SEO effort. If OP's product is on RedBubble and they spend on SEO and rank, then OP's product sells!

yes i agree RedBubble will make a good parasite for him to start learning If the keyword is right.

Could be good to get a general understanding of seo. But dont rely on it for sales.

Its a nice tip for OP tbh. Just hope he wont focus on it :b

Thanks guys!
Well I can still publish my designs on teespring, RedBubble and Amazon Merch at the same time or?
There are probably many good articles for RedBubble SEO. So i can learn from them. That should not be that hard. (I hope ;) )

yeah but comissions from redbubble is comparatively low right? Selling a $40 will give 6.67 dollars. $40 seeems high when you can buy tshirts half the price on amazon also earning per tshirt is more. So try on something which is reliable. Ima newbie too.. So someone please guide me if i am wrong.

Here is a post I found a while ago: http://workfromlaptop.net/wsosunfrogtshirt1/
It teaches you how to sell T-Shirts with no upfront costs using SunFrog, never used it because I am building social media before selling T-Shirts.

Actually, you can fix your own commissions. The default is 20% but you can change it in your account preferences.

Maybe try IG influencers? Offer them a free t-shirt + a percentage of the sales? You can give them a code for..lets say 10% discount and every time someone uses their code, they get a piece of the profits. That way you'll earn LESS money, but start building your instagram profile.

Also, as someone mentioned above, F/U for new instagram accounts is pretty good way to start getting followers.

Wish you all the best!
