I was just sitting here thinking about how far technology has came, and how far it will go. It is just amazing what we have now. I remember the first cell phone I ever had, was an old box style primco. It was a huge upgrade when I switched to the At&t Nokia 5160 the next year. I remember going to the old computer box and jumping online with that "super fast" america online lol, and what was cable? Mtv, hbo, cinemax, showtime, and a few info stations. Online porn? Nope! Just playboy, penthouse, and hustler :D . I remember playing nintendo (the first one lol), sega, and even before those, was atari. Hell that was back when it was more fun to go to the arcade and play games :D Cars back then actually had a brain lol. The good ole simple days :D


Whats some of the things you remember from way back that are juiced up now?

It seems that it advances much faster now than ever before.. Just look at average 2005 PC/phone/game/any other thing and that average thing now.
 
i remember when hotdogs were a nickel and hamburgers were a dime. SMH kids these days with their hippity hoppity music and cinemas
 
I remember when $5 would buy a a gallon of gas, a gallon of milk, and a pack of smokes with some change left over. Now you're lucky to get one of those with $5 :D

Yeah and a commodore 64 with a tape drive (literally cassette) and hand typing programs and games from pc magazines. Then there were the bulletin boards you got to dial into and download your porn. No such thing as hard drives or internet. There was amazon though, selling books out their garage.

Yes it's come a long way. Now I hit a mic button on my droid and say navigate to "wherever I want" and an annoying bitch tells me how to get there.
 
I remember when folks used to listen to music on good old Edison wax cylinders.. Nowadays you got these damn cassette tapes that you have to rewind or something; I can't figure it out for the life of me.... Young cockamamie whippersnappers...
 
I remember my childhood days very well bcoz those are the most happiest days which i had.......
I just used to play outside with the friends.........Ohhhhhhhhh miss those old days.
About technology used to play videogames outside,phones are only available to them who can afford that much money.
I am talking about the situation here in india especially 7-8 years back..................
 
I remember getting my first computer back in 1998 it was an acer desktop with only 64MB of ram and a 8GB harddrive, back then it seemed so fast and amazing and now its less powerful then modern cellphones.
 
I also remember covering the speaker in my 400 pound tower to mask the modem sound while I went online late at night to look at porn.
 
I remeber the C64, which i still have and plays on now and then. the first mobilephone was like a brick, and you had to put the antenna out to use it.

I also remeber that there where just two channel on the tv.. now there is 2..thousand or something like that, the homephone was infact a phone on the wall and not a wireless.

Pornomags used to have cds since there where no other ways to get porn

quit facinating how the society has changed in just a few years

Edit : I do have my harddrive to my very first PC. It was a Compaq Pressario 486, the harddrive is on impressive 300 MB

I actually still have mine, not in this kind of condition though.

I was having this discussion with my wife the other night about how hard it would be to go back to even 1990 without all our gadgets. I came to the conclusion the only one I'd really miss would be my ipod. I could gladly give up all the others, but I would so miss carrying around 20,000 songs everywhere I go.
