Targeting Keywords With Low Search Volume

I just finished doing some keyword research, and I found 10 keywords relating to the same niche. Unfortunately, these keywords only have a search volume of 100 each.

Now I have never targeted keywords with such a low search volume before, so do you think it would be worth creating content on these keywords?

What is your experience with low search volume keywords? Did you end up getting more traffic than the predicted value from the keyword research tool?

Sure yea, cluster them and rapid post. Then link back to money page. Gotta nail all the low hanging fruit. That's how you gonna put food on da table
 
Bro. Let me give you my experience. I have been writing on all kinds of competitive and low competitive keywords for years. These tools are highly inaccurate. I simply check for the volume of a keyword and if it is even 10 searches per month, I still write on it.
There is a keyword for which I rank like top 5 and it has a volume of 1000+ per month and I hardly get a few pageviews per day. And then there is a keyword that has a search volume of 10 searches per month and I still get around 10 pageviews per day.

You should go for any keyword if you believe it is low competitive and don't pay much attention to the volume.
 
Most tools are inaccurate as I've compared the same keyword on kw planner, semrush, ahrefs and the volume has been completely different. If the other metrics look good i would still go for it as your not just ranking one keyword, the chance is you'll pick up a load of secondary keywords with it if your on-page is good.

Use keyword revealer, it gives mostly accurate SV. You should target the 100/m keywords, the thing is you are looking at 1 variation of each keyword. There are always multiple variations of keywords and that adds to a cumulative volume.
 
Tools don’t provide the accurate data.
Once I chose a keyword of 20 search volume (as per Keyword Everywhere)
It had been bringing in 8k/month traffic for 18 months until the May Core Update rolled out.
That Same Keyword Is Still Bringing 2000 People To My Website per month.

I had no idea the keyword tools were that inaccurate. Well this is good news for me. I definitely have a lot more I can write now. I skipped many good keywords because of low search volume. Noob mistake.

Thats crazy. I guess a lot of people skip the low search volume keywords. I'm not going to do it anymore.

my bad Keywords Everywhere! not Keyword Revealer, I haven't used that in years lol.
 
Check the search volume on several different sites. If they all show 100, it's not worth creating content. You will have wasted your time for nothing.
 
Targeting low search volume keywords can be challenging but it can also be an opportunity to target an untapped space. Consider other factors such as competition and relevance to decide if creating content for a keyword is worth it. Track performance and optimize for related or long-tail keywords as you go.
 
give these keywords a try. these keywords will boost your other articles.
 
Keyword strategies with low search volume aren't a bad idea. Focus the content around the low volume search terms and you might be surprised to what LSI keywords you also get ranked for. Additionally, some of the search terms may increase over time or show up under other snippets in Google. Don't disregard them because they have low volume, but do the work to research if the value is there.

Now do the research again to find these gems.
 
If your keywords (low volume kws) are super relevant to your audience you can go for it to benefit the relevancy in the small or small niche and also find some unique kws that may help to gain both traffic and conversions.

You may miss out on some conversion-ready traffic if you ignore low volume keywords entirely.
 
You can with those keywords. It will gain some traffic and also help in ranking the main keywords. Just make sure that they are relevant to your main topic.
 
I'll add a bit:
* let's say your target keyword is "forex trading vs share trading" and it gets 100 searches according to google (not those useless tools). Now, think for yourself, how many ways there are to ask this question? At least 20 so that keyword becomes a keyword with 2k+ searches a month.
* you don't necessarily need to write an article but add a paragraph or 2 to existing relevant articles.
* the main thing is if you can actually rank for those keywords.
* and finally... the more you cover your niche the better which makes you an authority in that niche and with internal links it will move your main pages higher.
