Syndk8 - SerpScraper 2.0 - Review|Discussion

Hi,

i bought SerpScraper 2.0 from Syndik8 to test and compare it with outer harvesters i also have (scrapebox, hrefer, scrapegenius) and wont give a little review here on BHW.

First i want to say, iam a advanced harvester user, i have multiple (about 30) privat paid proxies and "enough" footprints for all kind of script and software out there to be able to make a review on that kind of software.

I started with Serpscraper last 2 days and tested it with some Keywords:


  • Footprint: "Powered by Pligg" ; Additional Words: nothing > Google.com (Hits by Google: 6,720,000) ; Results: 170 scraped URLs!!!
  • Footprint: "Powered by Pligg" ; Additional Words: 5 well distinguishable Words (Finance,Sports,Insurance,Wellness,Food), so it would harvest "powered by Pligg"+Finance as one query and so on > Google.com (Hits by Google in summary: 6,149,600) ; Results bye serpscraper: 481 scraped URLs!!!, after remove duplicate hosts 290 URLs!!!
  • Footprint: "Powered by Pligg" ; Additional Words: 5 well distinguishable Words (Finance,Sports,Insurance,Wellness,Food) > Bing.com: 0 Results [maybe i was to lazy to fix the broken bing.xml, but for a new software i could expect a running bing.xml]
  • Footprint: "Powered by Pligg" ; Additional Words: 5 well distinguishable Words (Finance,Sports,Insurance,Wellness,Food) > Yahoo.com:0 Results [maybe i was to lazy to fix the broken yahoo.xml, but for a new software i could expect a running yahoo.xml]
  • Footprint: "Powered by Pligg" ; Additional Words: 5 well distinguishable Words (Finance,Sports,Insurance,Wellness,Food) >
  • Yandex.com: 50 results scraped
After that preformance i dont want to test more :-).

My conclusion:
The scraper is worth the money (Yeah you hear right!!!), but only for the bonus functions other scrapers doesn't have!

Goods

  1. That means you can build your own searchengine xml for every searchengine out there and harvest from it, thats a Big Plus,
  2. and you can check URL-Lists for Footprints on the page with Serpscraper, thats also a big plus.
  3. [TLD-Filter, Remove Duplicate Hosts or URls, trim to root, Sort or Slpitt Lists, Remove 404 (dead urls) are standard and all the other scrapers have it to, no plus!]
Bads

  1. Its a god damn bad scraper! I tested it out cause i want to scrape more than 1000 results on a single query (cause my favorite harvester scrapebox only search 1000 maximum for one query), what i get was a little tool harvesting the first 2 pages on every query, nothing more. On my Defintion this is not a Scraper! Sure you can harvest 100.000 Urls (also with serpscraper) with a good additional wordlist, but why? with the same queries i get 1.000.000 if i use scrapebox or 500.000 if i use scrapegenius.
  2. No support
My Rank 4 the Scrapers:

  1. Scrapebox (with a BIGBIG Gap)
  2. Scrapegenius and Hrefer
  3. SerpScraper (also ok cause of the additional or special features)

if u had others like hrefer or scrapebox why did u try serpscraper and waste money at all?
syndk8 is known for bad stuff and support also scrapebox is cheapest

Hi,

simple, i want to test it!

Another main reason is that i want to scrape the results beyond the 1000st listing. You know scrapebox only scrape the first 1000 entries of a query.

The 1000 barrier is not a limitation of ScrapeBox, its a limitation of the search engine.
You cannot get more results page than 1000.

you said that you are an advanced harvester, but you don't know anything about the 1000 limitation entries from search engine ? :D
 
I think to be totally fair you should have stated that ScrapeGenius is 100% free.
 
scrapegenius was really great but then it suddely stopped working to me [the verification server was showing toyan?]. does it work for u guys?

ScarpeGenuis works only with Yahoo, in my case :(
 
From my experience serpscraper and scrapegenuis cannot even come close to the speed of scrapebox
 
Once again this shows that syndk8 don't produce good quality software. After that last app they brought out and hyped to the max I would not go near them. That was just shameful.
 
save your money, buy xrumer, get hrefer with it for nothing, plain and simple, unlike the rest of these overhyped pos's it does everything you need and will crank out the results nice and quickly

I will vote for Scrapbox, its better than hrefer i think and cheaper ;-).
 
what about the scraper in backlinkbot I hear its better than scrapebox

then you have obviously no idea what you are talking about. yes scrapebox is nice for beginners, but hrefer is way more advanced and better coded.
and just for the record all syndk8 products are shit. just overhyped crap that doesnt work properly. they say its because the people are too stupid to use it,
but fact is, non of the tools from syndk8 work as expected and keep crashing as the developers are amateurs.
