It's worth going into a little more detail here because the article was very well written.
It was focused on the niche relating to my website, but at the same time it appeared to be written in such a way that it matched the site on which it was posted.
This made the article look great and it also made it fit in well where it was posted which in turn highlights the quality of the article and the value of the link.

There were relevant links to several authority sites within the content, again adding to the value of the content and also showing that research had been carried out.

There were a few matches when I ran the article through copyscape, but upon checking, these were only 1-2% matches.
This indicates once again that research had been carried out and perhaps snippets of information and/or quotes had been included from other sources.

I also ran the article through grammarly where it received an overall score of 83 and was marked as "very engaging".

There was one small grammatical error that I noticed in the content and a few picked up by grammarly as well, but nothing major in my opinion.

When I submitted the details for this service I used an exact match phrase for the anchor text. Since ordering the service I have done some other work relating to this keyword.
So you could say this link was used as part of a wider strategy for ranking this particular term.
