Suggestions : To create user manual through wordpress

Hi,

I am planning to create a user manual for our software product in wordpress.

I have a some doubts in publishing,

1. Is it possible to upload a word document / PDF into wordpress (Along with formatting)

2. Can i organize the image folders (Parent > Child -> grand child) in wordpress ??

3. Kindly share me some sample user manual which has been created in wordpress along with formatting?

4. Since we are planning to mark the fields with numbering is it possible to have numbering in this format "❶" ?? or suggest me with alternate.

You can create the document in Markdown. It's pretty flexible and many projects use it for documentation.

You could try this, but to have download button you need to upgrade

Thanks for your response. When i google it about "Markdown". Mainly it is useful for blog commenting & blog posting and they aren't suggesting for documentation purposes. Our purpose is to publish user manual for our product in wordpress.

Thanks for your suggestion. I think it suits for our needs in publishing the PDF. We are exploring more to find plugins in which we can publish the formatted document (.doc, .docx) in wordpress. Also a tool to mark the image with reference number.
