I've noticed that whenever a newbie joins BHW, they probably read one or two threads from a specific sub-forum in the "Newbie guide" forum, and post the most common questions even if it is answered. Half of the time it's just random replies like "thanks, I learned a lot", "thank you for this great content", etc...
I believe the threads should be locked, but it's probably left open so that newbies can leave in their support queries and get the help they need, but there is a support link when you scroll down, and it contains 147+ FAQ's and even an option to open a new support ticket. One of the departments, when you create a support ticket, is "Forum support" precisely made for assisting with forum related issues.
So, what's the issue here? The newbies are unable to find resources made for answering the most common questions or even use the support system in order to get a more accurate answer by the support team.
My suggestion?
1. Create an official support thread for answering all the questions: This sounds chaotic but probably way better than newbies asking questions in the "newbie guide" forum when the forum is probably just made for tutorials / guides to find your way around the forum.
An official support thread should only be used for answering questions related to BHW, and no random replies will be entertained (this often happens in the newbie guide forum)
2. A way to make the newbies know that BHW does have a support system and a list of FAQ's: Probably a better option than the above. Newbies should know that a support system exists and should read the FAQ's instead of asking the same questions over and over again.
Not sure if the support system is widely used by newbies or other newly joined members, but this might make the support system more effective, useful, and more people would start using it in order to get the help they need.
