Sudden Ranked Drop? Google Algo Update?

Well guys....I did nothing, just wait ^^
I mean, the only things I did was updating plugins, updating theme (even though it's def not a theme-redlated issue) and changed a few cache settings maybe.
To recap:
5 sites dropped on 16th of December (with loss of mobile friendly in gsc, and all the usual things we're all facing).
1 site dropped same way on 11th of January. It's a SUPER white-hat site with 0.00 backlink and high quality unique content written by a real expert in health/sport.
Now, 4 have recovered: 4 from the 16th of Dec drop.
That leaves 1 from 16th of December and 1 from 11th of January that have not recovered (Yet... hopefully) and that still have the same "weird things" on GSC and when checking site:xxx.
This just proves how much all this is just a BIG BUG.
There's no other reason than a bug that can explain 4 of my websites jumping back to their old positions just when GSC sees mobile friendly again.
In the end, don't look for smth wrong, don't start wasting time changing domain, JUST WAIT.
We did not do anything wrong...Google is just messing something up here. Once they fix it on all their database, the sites should be back where they belong

Google is switching servers. There's nothing to do other than wait, just as @Florian67X said. Some people really need to chill.

Kek. Easy to say. When you lose a big part of you revenues, it's not that easy to "chill".

You're doing something wrong if you are at the merci of Google staying perfectly as it is right now. @Marneus74

I've had 2 websites that have had a massive upsurge in traffic after the Jan update.
These previously lost lots of traffic from the October update.
The traffic now is higher than ever.
I have done no work on these at all in that time.
What is this all about and should I expect this new traffic to disappear soon?

After Jan 7th update my website is finally recovering, it began on Friday after 8 PM, the traffic is almost to pre Jan 7th levels. Not sure if this is yet another update or they have rolled out a correction to a previous update. I didn't to any significant updates to my website except updating a couple of posts, but I don't think it would have a huge impact.

Brother, can you tell me about the process of safe link building. From the past 5 months I've learned so many link building techniques but really afraid what is safe and what is is not. And I'm from a village don't have enough money to experiments with domains.
The easiest way to get backlinks (in my opinion) is to contact websites in the same field as you and ask them whether you can add a guest post. And it won't cost you anything if you write the article yourself.

Just wondering, did you use BulkaddURL on this site that has recovered?
I've realized that my 2 (out of 6) sites that have not recovered (yet) are the ones for which I used bulkaddURL a month ago.....
I checked my google search console today. One of my page which had 400 backlinks suddenly not listed under from search console link section. I saw the same couple of days back.
The page is still indexed. But search console is not showing backlinks count now.
Not sure what’s happening. And I am already a victim of Nov month update. Almost all my major keywords disappeard from google top 300 and not yet recovered.

No, I did not use BulkaddURL. I never had an indexing problem, my posts/pages were indexed all the time. I lost traffic (on Jan 7th) because for some reason my long-tail keywords lost ranking. I was so weird because my main short tail keywords were ranking just fine. Anyway, I'm smiling from ear to ear
because it's the end of Saturday and my traffic is like the old good days.

Everything is safe until you are posting content related to the website your are posting in.. If your content is related to what the website is currently presenting and it presents backlink to you in a natural and non promotional way

I think Google's doing niche-specific updates now.
I see some sites changing a lot, others nothing.
