Sudden Ranked Drop? Google Algo Update?

Things will go back to normal for sure. As some others said, don't panic, step back, take a deep breath and look into it. Also make sure you test things in different niches, not just one.

Also in GSC you won't see notifications all the time, keep track of your rankings and organic traffic.

You might have some issues with your onpage or some of the backlinks are just bad / became bad / are toxic; so you got to look into diff sides to see where the issue is.

Some people have told me that it might be a EAT/YMYL penalty, just because I'm missing on the "A" Authority section... My niche for this site is health/weightloss related...

It could be EAT/YMYL but there is no such thing as 'Authority section'
Another thing worth to note is the difference between updates. Jan7th 2020 is different from Dec and Nov.2019. Unfortunately, people dump everything here thinking it is the same thing. It's not.

Yes, that's the thing ... We have the "E", we have the "T" but we miss the "A" ...I can't believe there is an analysis of each "section" taken alone.

Except for that, I don't see what it can be.

Maybe because we have affiliate links in the health niche ?
...then why would my other sites in Webhosting, Mobile Operators and dating have been impacted too ? .....

You just answer your question, miss the "A" as there is no such thing has nothing to do with it.

Guys can you explain this? This is one website that got penalty, the position remain the same but I lost all click and impression. No manual penalty.

When did you lose impressions and clicks? Jan 7th? If yes, you're on the same boat as me. I did some things over the last couple of days and see an increase in traffic today 50% (Saturday, Jan. 11th 2020) Not sure if it's because of what I did or just coincident.

I lost many impressions and clicks in december and the killing was 7 January, now I have around 5-6 visitor a day

For me, I lost clicks and impressions on Jan 7th, Dec. was very good, the thing that drives me nuts is that SERPROBOT shows NO change in keywords position just impressions and clicks aren't there.

What you did to increase a bit traffic?

Removed all web 2.0 links pointing to my site that were created back in November, I did some last Friday for a test (about 20) finished them all today (100+) and forced G bot to recrawl them to see the change.

Your situation looks similar to mine, except nothing happened to my site in Dec. Maybe they did a test in Dec. on a small sample of websites and rolled it out web-wide on Jan. 7th 2020. The thing that really puzzles my mind is that there is no change in ranking, I check my keywords every 12 hours, even checked some manually and used another service, and there is no F&*%$ change. Just the traffic, clicks and impressions aren't there.

Did you do any link building in the last 6 months?

nope, nothing new in the last months

If you did nothing in the last months than I hope that's some kind of issue on google's side. Aside from those web 2.0 links my site is all white hat, been in business since 2014. It just makes no sense to see no change in the ranking but a loss of traffic (clicks and impressions). And I'm not in the health, money markets so can't really be affected by EAT/YMYL updates.

What is EAT/YMYL?

What is EAT/YMYL?

EAT and YMYL that's two quality updates targeting specific markets released a year ago and updated on a regular basis.
I won't go into details here because that would derail the thread but if you google 'EAT google update' and/or 'google YMYL update' you'll find all the info.

Thanks, I searched and found what is.
All my websites penalized have link to CPA page, but the link is virustotal free and I have nofollow, I don't know if I try to modify the link to a new fresh domain and then to the CPA page, to avoid that google see that my websites linked directly to CPA.

Interesting, I don't have access to Semrush but when I download keywords from GSC a URL is ranking for before and after Jan 7th it does show a loss of some long-tail keywords (showing n/a) however the strange thing is that if I look for those showing n/a manually they do show up in SERP and they do show up in SERP if I run them through serprobot.

Not sure if it'll help, I don't have any CPA or even ads just a couple of affiliate links, so my website is as clean from a user experience point of view as it could be.

Interestingly now on my one victim google since couple of days does not take new data from fhe site map anymore. But when I upload a new one, it takes the fresh data. Corresponding, site:xyz.com shows heavily jumping results that do not match with the info in GSC. On another note the site is HREFLang connected to two other sites for other GEOs, same template etc. - these sites are running smoothly and they are untouched in terms of any of the behaviour the victim shows.

I have the same issue. This morning I'm connected to two of my websites that got hit by Google and, every time I click on the sitemap in webmasters, I can see that is correctly recovered but I can't see every single sitemap inside the sitemap!
Example, I can see SITEMAP.XML with the correct number of posts recovered, but if I click I can't see anything inside (example sitemap_post1, sitemap_post2) etc. In websites that wasn't hit I can see all.
