I was thinking to buy a new domain (exp probably) and copy all content from the old website to a new and make 301 for each article. What do you think?

I tried it with two websites. Rankings came back to original position and a few days later all the rankings went to 0/out of the serps.

Yes, I dont think the clicks are relevant, it's the multiplier of impressions that are the importance on an algo update. Clicks are just CTR from optimized meta descriptions.

What way did you do it, did you put the content on an expired domain and then 301 the old one? or did you just put content on an expired and not 301? or did you try both ways? Just curious as to what way you tried as this was deffo a route I was considering,
One way I tried was 301 inner pages to another domain and that did work for a while and some pages on the other domain are still ranking i never 301 the main pahe though just th inner ones ---

Made a full backup of my original website -> installed the backup on an expired domain -> 301 wildcard redirected the original domain to the expired domain -> indexed it on GWMT using the url inspector.
Few days later the keywords on the expired domain started to take the original position of the original domain. #1.
Just two days later the rankings disappeared completely.
Tried it two times, had the same results twice.
The rankings are a mess. Its so difficult to jump into any conclusion.

So you didn't 301 to inner pages, you just make redirection to a domain as I understand?

Wildcard redirect means it redirects all pages/urls to the new domains pages/urls. So domain.com/abc will redirect to newdomain.com/abc
Just a quick question for those who are/were hit aswell: I switched the WordPress hosting when my site was 6 months old since the old host couldn’t handle the traffic.
So my domain is still at the old „Hoster A“ but points to the WordPress installation at „Hoster B“. I had to change the A Record in the DNS Settings so it is some kind of permanent redirect. When I check ahrefs I also see a permanent redirect in the Backlink report.
Is that a possible reason? Are there „hit“ pages with no redirects at all in this forum?

I have seen a few in this thread say they had no redirects whats so ever and no affiliate links I have a mixture myself, some with redirects were hit some with no redirects were hit as well

Guys, I noticed something. On January 7th, one day before all this shit went down, someone copied all my content on a web 2.0 site. Can you guys do a search for your own content to see if someone has copied it, maybe this is causing the problems?
I can't believe that Google is still so stupid. My content is getting deindexed now while the content on this web 2.0 is getting indexed, it's ridiculous.

I'm hit too and no redirects at all. Also stayed with the same hoster from the beginning. So I don't think switching the hoster / having a redirect is the reason for this mess.
