Exactly my word, I found lot of irrelevant website ranking for my keyword.Huge drop in rankings and visitors Yesterday (17th of December) and it still seems the same Today (18th of December)
Very strange, had a great website with proper content and links which was ranking top 1-5 for various keywords.
Now the ranking seems to be overtaken by non-related websites and parasite pages(Medium, Smore, Issuu)
Even one page which copied the content from one of my pages and uploaded it to Issuu.

I see strange behaviour, almost all my pages lost their keywords, but 90% of these keywords now on my main page with worse ranks when they were on others.. Looks like page weights are changing.

Update: One of my sites has seen a big bounce back, not to where it was previously (will see tomorrow serps) but huge jumps. Another of my domains which was dead in the water for the last year has seen huge jumps at the same time (yesterday). Waiting on another dozen sites which all got hit, to see if they bounce back.
Honestly, this update is just mad.
I use expired domains and 301 redirects. The site that bounced back also use both of these methods.... so they are not the culprit, or they are and Google is seriously messed up. Who knows at this point!

I had most links to homepage 99% on affected sites . When I checked the position after it was down from 16 to 82 the 83th spot was occupied by my inner page which didn't have any links built to it . It's definitely links and anchor related , smth like penguin

I had the same result. bounced back on Wednesday but yesterday it went down again. what about your side?

interested to know for those who see the bouncing back and going down again in the last 48 hours, is it for your primary keyword?!
if so, then this whole thing could be to on-site optimization and google trying to figure out its multi-indexing algorithm... just my 2 cents with zero proof.

From Oct, I have seen 40% drop in my traffic and continuously dropping my website traffic.
Before this update, I have optimized the on-page and we got nice rankings for our main keywords. After this update, everything gone. 2nd to 7th and 1 to 6th. I will wait this week will try to change the content and check it.
If any out found something let me know.
