Success, Failure, and Potential Redemption

Very detailed journey but you have a big problem (don't take it personally, it's just an advice):

It seems to me that you're very proud to work hard. I don't say anything against hard work but it's nothing to be proud of. Certainly not if you smoke a lot of weed and eat "OTC supplements for brain health and energy from Wal-Mart." Come on, seriously? I've met a lot of Online Marketers during my career who thought that it's impressive when they're telling others how hard they're working. Some didn't leave their homes for 1 month, some have worked 24/7 on cocain etc. - Hard work isn't impressive.

Smart working people are impressive. People who make money without neglecting other areas of life (relationships, fitness and health, personality etc.)

Again: Don't take it personally but you shouldn't listen to the "Success Gurus" on YouTube etc. who telling people that they "hustle" 24/7, reduced their sleep time to 5h per day and shit like this. It's just a method to impress naive people. They're bringing people to their limit to sell them a shortcut/course.

To fuck up yourself is nothing you can be proud of. So take care of you and work smart and think long term.

Thanks for the advice man, i really took it to heart. Its crazy to see you in here on this thread, I got alot out of your Kindle Posts.

You are right about one thing, I need to work smarter. Im definitley looking at things a bit differently after reading that.

Tryin somethin different, were gonna do a video update today -

Update - 5/1

Howdy guys another update here. I actually took it easy these last few days as far as my internet projects go, I have really not taken any breaks up until now but I decided it might help me get more perspectives and also just a good thing for my personal life.

I honestly love doing Internet Marketing so its hard not to, I really don't look at my time spent here as a burden. It helped me get some personal issues dealt with. However, I have worked all weekend waiting tables, I typically make 500 a week which isn't alot to some but will sustain me as long as I need to get this going.

Here are some things I have done -

- Consolidated some areas of my plan, I am still broke from spending money on ads and other real life shit the last month. I cancelled any servies / subscription I don't need such as my shopify store and Amazon seller account, to save money. I will probably wait a few months until my Merch account finally gets approved or I have more time to go back to the T-shirt method.

- Paid my FB ads bill from last month, this is crucial because owing money on PPC advertising kept killing my ablity to save money, I am working on just saving money this month before I start spending again. This will make a huge difference in my life.

- Still making occasional Kindle book sales, getting checks for 30 a month but hoping to release more books soon and ramp that up, still nice to see that it earns at least some money.

- I am mostly just focusing on website promotion and content right now, I am trying to not be doing so much at once so honestly most of my effort goes to adding content to my websites and social pages. I recieve about 30 visitors a day to my sexy site, and about 10-20 a day to a couple others.

2 sites are starting to rank on Google, but a long way to go there. I do get clicks to my sexy girls banner ads but not enough to make money, still a good sign.

Using Massplanner now fully, but not with a ton of accounts, just using it to grow my original accounts. I should have done this months ago, it has saved me tons of work. I am looking at adding more accounts soon after breaking the ice.

I am working at my job tonight then off 2 days, I basically work all weekend but have most of my weekdays free since I only work single shifts. I definitly am taking better care of myself physically, and mentally feeling much better after kicking pot.

I will use this week to get more work done, but mostly re-organizing / strategizing the next leg of my journey.

Time for another update on this long ass journey. I plan for it to still take up to a year or so before I really make it and am making a few hundreds a day, but the sooner it happens the better. Until then I will update occasionally.

As anyone reading this knows I have alot of projects and plans going but trying to focus on them all would lead nowhere.

Right now I am putting most of my effort into continuing to build up my humor / sexy type websites, since they are mostly picture heavy and easy to promote on social media.

I set up Exoclick ads on my sexy website, its only making about 20-30 cents a day but thats ok considering my traffic is still very low. Scaling the traffic to this website is my main goal right now.

Ive been playing alot more with adult content sharing with watermarks and stuff like that for new ways to get traffic.

I also setup adsense on my other sites which also are still low in traffic, so not much earnings but all this is long term. I have cpa ads as well but not too much, just a few ads per page.

I have also been building backlinks to some of my other sites, since I mostly focused them on one site so far. This next site has way better keywods, dozens that are 20-30 difficulty but 10k+ searches, so I am hoping that ranking this site will lead to easier keyword snatching.

I have lots of new directions and ideas to expand to for my other sites and kindle writing, but right now I am trying to focus on what is working right now. I still have a long way to go but am starting to make progress. My sexy sites gets about 50 Unique Views a day so imagining if I got it up to 500 or 5,000 it would actually be some money.

I work a decent amount at my real job so I am starting to save up more money there, but probably wont have alot until the end of the summer. The good news is that I am under no pressure to make money online, but I know success is inevitable if I keep pushing. During this whole time I have learned and learned alot behind the scenes but still focusing on daily action.

I like to follow your journey but I've concerns with this point:

Right now I am putting most of my effort into continuing to build up my humor / sexy type websites, since they are mostly picture heavy and easy to promote on social media.

I don't know your projects but you should avoid any copyright infringements. If you're not sure about the source or copyright of a picture you should not use it. This is one of the biggest lessons that I had to learn in a hard way. At the beginning you're flying under the radar and there's no problem but when you're getting bigger you'll become more visible. There are really aggressive competitors, lawyers and even ordinary people who like to play "Internet police" and want to destroy you just for fun. Believe me, even if you try to keep everything as clean as you can... as a beginner you'll make mistakes here and there... these people will come and search until they find something. But even if they can't find something they'll will try to duck you in an unfair way. Search for "The Overwatch Reddit Scandal" on Google. This is just a popular example. Such things also happen on a lower level everyday but no one is talking about it because it's not interesting. People are crazy these days, so you should avoid any copyright infringements from the beginning.

I don't want to swing the moral mace because I've also a blackhat business running. But it's just a side business. My main businesses are completely clean. What I try to say is: Split the risk by building up a clean business next to your "grey zone projects". Then you're save if something happens. PS: I don't want to accuse that your projects are grey zone projects. This is just a general advice to be careful.

Best wishes and keep on. Your on the right track

Quick update, once again thanks for the tips Pinger.

Not much has changed, but I have started registering domains and researching to implement some new methods soon, mostly trying to build a couple e-mail lists as opposed to having none.

However, I am focusing really all of my effort on the 2 methods that are already making some money, even if it is not much. I would rather scale the methods up that are working. My adult / sexy type site, as well as my Kindle E-books. I am still working on books behind the scenes until now but only have 4 published still, but fortunatley they still make sales.

I will continue to work hard on these projects since they are already showing small signs of success, and start focusing on new methods in the future once these are stable.

Howdy yall, just wanted to check in and update. I actually have been basically not working on anything the last few days, a family dispute occured with my brother and he smashed my laptop into pieces.

Yes it was pretty lame but the laptop sucked and I will have a better one soon. Had some major personal problems happening, left my job but that wasn't even a big deal compared to the danger I was in as my drug addiction resurfaced. I am taking time for myself and getting better. All I can say is I don't know how I came out of this one but this is the last time I will ever fuck up. I can't survive any more failures.

I have alot more clarity now, I still know that building this internet business is my way to fix my life for good. I have made alot more sales of my Kindle books lately, despite not having any new ones uploaded for a while.

I have tons of plans and tons of books to write, but since I won't have a laptop for a few more days I am taking it easy and focusing on myself and where I go from here. I almost lost the will to keep living and fighting after this latest disaster which was totally unexpected. I will be finding a new job and I am working a bit on my new books at my Apartments business office. i will keep updating every couple weeks, but right now not much happening.

Hey Matteo, just finished reading your journey which was quite inspiring, I enjoyed the fine grained details. What happened during the last year? Hope you got rid of your addiction problem and managed to reach your goals!
