Succesful IM bloggers ? I'm about to jump in.

Hey guys,

I've been in IM inconstantly for the last 10 years maybe. Beside my success in making money, finding new twists, I have, INHM, a great ability to motivate people & help them get in the right direction. And I enjoy doing that a lot.

That said, I think it's time for me to start a IM blog and gather all the information I can here, create exclusive members contents etc etc.

In order to not start from scratch, I would like some help from you guys. What do you think is today the top blogs in that fields ? What mistakes should i absolutely avoiding ?

I have tons of questions but as usual, I will bother google before bothering you. Thanks in advance.

Well by helping other people, I hope that I will help myself. I have the big project in mind now, just trying to see who else is in the game, and who's successful at it so I can think about it.

So far http://www.viperchill.com/ is a good example of the type of bloggers im looking for.

Everything is done for selfish reasons even if those reasons are to feel good about yourself.

No doubt. Luckily enough what makes me happy is to help & train people. It's a win/win situation no matter how people can hate.

One of the things you want to consider are your end goals with a site like that and that is a large part on how you are going to want to approach it and set it up.

Are you looking to just share with no monetization?
Are you going to make money on a Revenue share basis?
Are you going to sell products as an affiliate?
Are you offering a service or product yourself?

Those kinds of questions you want to answer to yourself before looking at the site set up, your approach and your target markets.

Seems trivial but the thing to avoid is to abandon your blog after a few months.
You already said you're inconstant in IM from 10 years, are you sure you're able to reveal "secrets" every day and manage so much work?

Answer to this question and you will find the answer!

Also I have thought many times to start a blog but I'm not good at writing because I'm passionate about other thing as website flipping.

There are, and I think many people will agree with me on this point, a lot of way to monetize such a blog. Starting with solo ads, exclusive contents etc etc. I will promote the products that I think deserve to be promoted. I know people could easily fall into the "sponsored" articles scheme and sell their soul for a big bag of bucks, but I'm naive enough to think that I won't.

The only common thing between all my journeys in IM is the will to share the results that i had. Share th experience, the tips, the twists I used, and share everything that I wish someone shared with me before I jumped into it. Peopl seems to appreciate that.

Based on those multiple journeys, as long as broad marketing/strategy/sociological/philosophical articles, I hope people will be attracted enough to my blog to sign up for the free member section and hell why not convert to the paid member section (I havent yet planned exactly what content will be diffused in those different parts). One thing is for sure, the main word of that blog will be sharing experience & knowledge.

I'm not planning on updating it every day. I am willing to produce long and detailed articles/tutorials, which I think will take some day to produce fo each one. I haven't been consistent only because I worked a 9-5 job well paid for 3 years (A job that included the training of CEOs on different offline marketing strategies), and I went 1 year off in USA to perfect my english skills. Beside that, I always kept up with the new technologies, new apps etc etc. I believe that our world is evolving so fast that adaptability is the key when you want to keep up with the online money machine.

I am passionate about sharing my experience. I just want to put it all in one place, and hope that it can help people, and myself.

Just be original and success will come. No one wanna read another tutorial on another boring IM/SEO blog...Review of a random so called SEO software? Dont even think about it.

1. Don't slack. This is for me the most important mistake that new bloggers do(like myself). It's best to mark some fixed days in the week when you will update your blog. It will make it better for the readers.
2. Develop your own writing style and stick to it.
3. Don't give your readers "news" type of content. They are here for your thoughts in the first place, aren't they?
4. Never try to sell them something directly. Bad move, especially in your niche.
5. Try to visualize your content, especially if you're going to post mostly tutorials and experiences. It's a great way to help them understand something and see how you want to help them.

These are my opinions after blogging for nearly 3 months. Although mostly basic stuff, I hope that it may help you in your next blogging journey. Good luck!

I understand that. My goal is not to stand out but to bring the right informations. I've read too many books in my life to be able to tell, it's all rwritten bullshit. So I'll mainly skip all this rewriting part and just go staright to what people are expecting : tutorials, results, state of mind.

1. Organisation in work has been proven to be reallly efficient and I'm the first example of it. I could be considered as lazy and and nice job & space organization is the only thing that would make me work for hours.
2. Synthetic, yet informative, i'm planning on it.
3. I will use twitter if I have announcement to make.
4. Right. I tend to avoid people tying to sll me a product out of the blue. introduced in a whole stategy, when it's necessary to act or scale up, it can works.
5. Yes, yes & yes. I'm doing that because I felt a need when I was trying to do all those money making method. A need that has never been filled, and that's what I'm trying to do. Bring content that the people need.
