a sub.domain.com is seen as a new domain as google concerned .

@Ab Rehman - what are you trying to do ? response could be different. but most of the time sub-folder is better for seo purposes; unless you want to rank similar concept for different cities: orlando.cleaningservices.com ; miami.cleaningservices.com, etc.
if you are blogging, then go sub-folder method.

Generally speaking, sub-folders are better for consolidating authority in one domain, but you may want to go for a sub-domain if the content will be targeting something completely different from main domain.
