[STUDY] Using indexing services on orphaned pages

Omega has worked well for me. It uses the Google indexing API and just 301s it through their domains to yours so the Google bot always crawls your links/pages but it's up to Google if it wants to index them. Obviously strong links will help.

Appreciate the case study :)

I guess, inadvertently, I used omaga method to index and had very poor results.
I mean, II set up my own redirects and even though my 301 redirects get a lot of hits the destinations don't get indexed

Thank you for the case study.
You just confirmed what I was sure of... Twitter doesn't help indexing.
About 18 months ago it was working fine for me. I was kinda hoping I'd get good results from it as it would be easy to automate my own indexing.
Planning on trying any other social signals beyond twitter to see how they do?
What platforms would you like to see?

I'll put Omega on the list for if I do another study, looks on the pricier end of things so I'd expect good results :)

As I've now ended this study I might as well disclose the urls that ended up getting indexed. You should be able to see there's nothing particularly special about them.

Profiles got indexed... Impressive. Profiles are the hardest to index.

You show that speed links worked for you. i didn't know until someone mentioned it on another post they have a VIP subscription with a new indexing method. I have the regular one and I have a good idea what they do on the VIP one, but just wondering if you used speed links regular or VIP for it.

I used the standard basic $9.49 package, I've only just been made aware of the VIP package myself.

Thanks a lot for the study.

Is speed-links VIP or REGULAR? (sorry I see the answer now)
