I guess, inadvertently, I used omaga method to index and had very poor results.Omega has worked well for me. It uses the Google indexing API and just 301s it through their domains to yours so the Google bot always crawls your links/pages but it's up to Google if it wants to index them. Obviously strong links will help.

About 18 months ago it was working fine for me. I was kinda hoping I'd get good results from it as it would be easy to automate my own indexing.

As I've now ended this study I might as well disclose the urls that ended up getting indexed. You should be able to see there's nothing particularly special about them.

I used the standard basic $9.49 package, I've only just been made aware of the VIP package myself.
Lindexed seems to be good with profiles.
