Hello, everyone.
I have a non-English website. I'm trying to make it rank for a long tail keyword. The competition is very low. The sites on page 1 are not so powerful and there is a Facebook page ranking number 8.
Any strategies to make my site rank for such a keyword?

Many thanks.

*** ADDITIONAL INFO ***
Domain age is 6-7 weeks and I built 10 backlinks dofolow mixed with nofollow.
I put the keyword in the title and the description of the site, then I put the keyword and its synonyms in 4 categories and published 30 articles in these categories.
Now, one of the category pages is stuck on page 2 for the keyword I'm targeting. Also, I want to rank the homepage, not a category page.

6 weeks domain age is very less mate. Even though your keyword competition is very low you have to wait a minimum of 3 month to change the strategies.Keep on add quality content. Use social media signal to boost up your indexing rate in try to use it to bring the traffic to your site. You can start link building to your homepage and the inner page. Make sure to get the full effect of backlinks you have to do yours on page optimization perfectly.

If this keywords really is as low in competition as you say, it should be enough if you make a good internal linking and a keyword densitiy of 2-3%. Add some backlinks from web 2.0 and comment links and your site should rank in one or two months.

create a facebook page ..

Also, I want to rank the homepage, not a category page.

Sometimes you just have to take what google gives you, i've got a few sites like that, fucking one i rank a tag page for my main keyword, lol

It takes some time mate. Update your site with quality articles regularly, share your posts on social medias like FB, Google +, etc to engage visitors. Build some more quality backlinks.

It takes time. 6 weeks old website is not suck on page 2. It's just ranking. Usually some powerful PBN gets to me page 1, but don't add to many because your site is young.

To you all who have the same problem, I realised I missed the internal linking. So, I put the home page URL on my targeted keyword in almost every post. Now, the category page disappeared and the home page appeared on page 2. Seems good because if you have many pages targeting the same keyword, spiders will get confused, which one should I rank?, Google bot asks!
If the situation gets better in the future I'll share updates here.
Many thanks SEO-doers :D

Hi,

I don't think only 10 backlinks is going to help you improve your rank. I've been there! hehe

Try these "FREE" techniques:

Step 1: Build Web 2.0 (2-3). Tumblr, Blogspot and Wix would get the job done. Post 2-3 articles on each. High quality spinned content could work. WordAI Turing is my favourite. anchor your long tail keyword on one of the articles on each web 2.0.
Bad Practise: linking back to only your money site
Good Practise: linking to 3+ high PA DA contents of other websites.

Step 2: Add a blog post on quora and give a link back to your money site using the long tail keyword as anchor

Step 3: Create an author account on Medium, https://stackstreet.com, https://www.minds.com/, https://onmogul.com/, https://pitchengine.com/, https://maptia.com/ and other high authority sites. Post high quality contents on each and give a link back to your money site using the long tail keyword as anchor. DO NOT use spinned contents here. All of these provide do-follow backlinks

Step 4: Drive some social signals to every link that you build in step 1, 2 and 3. Do social Bookmarks, share it on all social media platforms. Ask your friends to share on their social networking profiles.

Step 5: Submit every articles to Google URL submitter and/or pingoat.net.

Check the status of the rank of your content for the long tail keyword after 1 month or so. This should improve your ranking for sure.

I've been working on my new project and have been using similar approach. My current project is:
